List of Kathryn R. Crowell's Reviews
Dr Crowell is one of the most caring and honest doctors you will ever encounter. We have been taking our special needs daughter to her for years and we dread having to find another doctor when she ages out. She treats our daughter with the utmost respect and actually converses with her rather than asking questions of just us.
this doctor is a liar and gets paid to report lies
We have been taking our daughter with very complex medical needs to Dr. Kathryn Crowell for over 16 years. Working with hundreds if not thousands of individuals with complex medical challenges and their healthcare teams myself, I can say without reservation that Dr. Crowell is nothing short of amazing. She truly cares, she listens to your concerns, takes the time to answer and explain any questions you have, she puts your child’s needs first, she takes the time to consider options, making a treatment plan that considers all aspects, the patient, the family, quality of life and so on. I have and will continue to highly recommend Dr. Crowell for not just your well child but with of her vast expertise with individuals that have rare conditions and special needs in general, as well as her bedside manner, personality, ability to communicate, empathize, work with the family as a whole... Dr. Kathryn Crowell is who we chose. On another note, depending on which location we see her in, it is a 30 to 60 minute drive. Worth every minute!
Don't ever ask her any questions about your child's labs. She won't answer or look further into a cause if any labs are off.
She doesn't even attempt to find the cause of problems with children. She spends too much time looking for abuse instead of focusing on real medical issues that a child is having. And don't ask why about something because she won't answer. She also doesn't know how to listen or keep her stories straight. Do not trust her with your child's health and well being
Dr. Crowell does not like when someone asks questions. If you have an accidental injury in your child she's the last person you want to see, especially if you feel like the injury is secondary to another health issue (bone health issue). She also disregards follow up to find out what causes low levels in lab work and doesn't bother to look up proper dosages for you. Honestly would give 0 if possible ...
My son presented to Hershey with an accidental injury. In her process of investigating (which is her job and that's fine) she discovered my son to have a vitamin deficiency. She tried to say I never told her that he already takes that vitamin and then essentially ignored me when I asked why he would be deficient. She never made any effort to set us up with anyone else to look into it and when I asked how to adjust the dosage for him she guessed (incorrectly). I could never imagine recommending her to anyone.
She is an exellent Dr. I live in the hbg area and the drive is worth it because I know my children will get proper care. She is very caring and takes the time to listen and also does whatever she needs to get to the bottom of all concerns I have for my children. She is a mother as well and with that said I am confident enough to say she has always treated my children with the patients and respect that im sure she gives her children...She is a wonderful person!
Dr. Crowell is an amazing doctor who clearly chose the right field....she loves children - and they love her. She always takes time to speak with us about any issues we may be having with our child and her diagnosis is always spot on. She even visited our child in the hospital on her day off. Thank you for all you do! And God bless you.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
