The Dr was good, but the office staff took 3 of the 5 stars off for their rudeness and laziness. It was enough to make me dread having to go back.

The town of Indiana is blessed to have a skilled and compassionate orthopedic surgeon --- Dr McKirgan. Skilled: Several years ago McKirgan fixed my broken elbow. I say "fixed" because it's like my elbow was never broken. Also, I fell and broke my wrist at the beginning of this year. My wrist has healed and now as functional as ever. Compassionate: My appointment was scheduled St Patrick's Day. I had an instant human connection as he walked into the the examining room that day. In solidarity with kin, McKirgan proudly wore his kilt.

Dr. Mckirgan is the best! He is so caring and dedicated to your healing after surgery. He will do anything to help you. He is so compassionate and I highly recommend him. They don’t come any better then him. He has handled all my knee and 2 Carpal tunnel surgeries.

I love Dr. McKirgan. I had broken my(ankle) tibia in 2 places and fibula in 1 making it displaced, and Dr. Mckirgan did my surgery. He put plates and screws in both sides and I'm as good as new. It was a tough 6 months, but he made sure I had very little pain and got me the therapy I needed to get back on my ankle after I was weight bearing again. I would recommend him to anyone.

Dr McKirgan replaced both of my knees. Very friendly, explains why you need the operation, explains how it is done. Came in hospital to check on me, encouraged my exercise for success and was willing to see me anytime encountered problems or just to check me yr to yr if I wanted him to. Good Dr.

Dr. Mckirgan very kindly saw me after complications from a hip fracture which occurred elsewhere. He is knowledge and kind.

In the last fifteen years, Dr. McKirgan has performed surgery on both hands and both shoulders. The surgery on one shoulder was to repair what had previously been repaired by a different surgeon. I can say with all sincerity that in the Indiana, Pennsylvania region, I don't believe you are going to find a more experienced, caring, and professional surgeon than Dr. McKirgan.

Dr. McKirgan was the surgeon for my carpal tunnel surgery a few years ago. He did a great job and it has been perfect ever since. I had the other hand done by a different surgeon and it still gives me issues...I'm not sure why that is. Also, I recently had a total knee replacement done by Dr. McKirgan. It has only been about 6 weeks and I am so happy with the outcome. I am waiting to go back for my next check up and plan on scheduling the other knee. I thank God for Dr. McKirgan!!!!!
