David B. Wilson's Online Review Report Card

If I could give less than 1 star I would but unfortunately to give the review I need to give at least 1. I have been bounced around from Dr. to Dr. for the issues that I've been having over the last few years and, though it is extremely frustrating because it seems as if I'm getting nowhere, Dr. Wilson has been the most frustrating aspect of it all. After being referred to him, by my general surgeon to get a more in depth investigation into what I was feeling and dealing with, I went to see him. I was extremely dissatisfied with how my appointment went. Dr. Wilson did not even ask me what brought me in nor did he ask me what I was feeling or anything of the sort. He simply ran his hand down my shin(not even the location in question), told me I had shin splints(I did not, I knew I did not as I had them all throughout growing up and was told by another Dr. I did not), he wrote me off with a prescription for steroids and told me to go to PT for a week and then said "Don't go letting some General Surgeon cut you open to dig around". Even the nurse in the room looked as surprised as I was to have been treated the way I was and to have heard what came out of his mouth. So unprofessional! So NO; I wouldn't recommend a single being see this Dr.

Wilson has done both my shoulders and recently a knee him and his staff are awesome... Doc Wilson truly cares about his patients and knows what he is doing and explains everything.. my first shoulders I never thought was going to get fixed I had been to Pittsburgh and Greensburg NO knew what to do or was wrong ... Doc Wilson was a great blessing and fixed it right away.. Thank youDoWilson

I got miss diagnosed for spinal stenosis, was sent to a specialist in Greensburg for neck surgery. And the specialist asked why was I even there?that I didn't have spinal stenosis, and I was miss diagnosed by Dr wilson.mean while I also was told by Dr wilson I needed shoulder surgery, and had it set up for this yr.needless to say I canceled everything with Dr wilson. Be careful with this Dr and Indiana hospital period

I tore my distal bicep tendon and had Dr Wilson repair the injury. I can't express how well he did and was a great Dr throughout the whole procedure. I'm currently 8 post op and I've been fully released to do whatever I wanna do. It was a perfect surgery and a perfect recovery!

Dr. Wilson repaired a torn meniscus on my knee and did 2 total knee replacements on my husband. We both had a quicker recovery than most of the people that went to Pittsburgh for their surgeries. Highly recommend him

If he is such a great doc. Why did i have to go to a special to fix Dr. Wilson s screw ups?

Dr Wilson operated on my Mother when her hip dislocated. He did an open reduction that left her with an undiagnosed and untreated infection that destroyed part of her femur and hip bone. He never actually corrected anything about the function of the hip, never saw my mother for follow-up during the 2 weeks she was in inpatient rehab, and had the gall to ask my family why she wasn't up and walking after she went septic with the infection. After we finally transferred her to UPMC Pittsburg and she started receiving treatment, he told us that he 'wondered' why we didn't transfer her sooner. Dr Wilson is not a responsible surgeon and NO ONE should allow him to care for their loved one. Avoid IRMC and go to Pittsburg!
