Awful bedside manner and condescending

Such an amazing doctor and I will always be greatful for his care. He is very intelligent and I was able to help me when no one else could. Highly recommend him.

Dr. Mecs delivered both of my children. He did a wonderful job delivering my firstborn who needed to vacuum assisted. With my second delivery I experienced postpartum hemorrhage due to retained placenta. I started to bleed very heavily almost 3 weeks postpartum to the point where I needed a blood transfusion and there was talk about giving two blood transfusions. It could have been a near death experience and it almost was. My husband said Dr. Mecs did not examine the placenta hardly at all before moving to the next part of taking care of me. Talking to friends who are nurses, they said they need to examine the placenta for a considerable amount of time to make sure it's all out. The day after giving birth I asked the doctor if the pain and cramping I was feeling was normal and his response was "You just delivered a baby, you will be in pain". Most of the pain was due to him not successfully getting all of my placenta out.

If I could give him zero stars I would. HORRIBLE bedside manner. To laugh/ chuckle at a pt in front of them is disgusting. Do us all a favor and RETIRE

Dr. Mecs drastically improved my quality of life. He diagnosed me accurately when nobody else could. He’s performed 2 robotic surgeries on me which were very successful and continues to provide excellent follow up care. Top notch OB/GYN!!!

Not impressed and I won’t be back! If I could give a zero I would!

Was very knowledgeable and compassionate. Answered all my questions and reassured me that my wife would be ok. My wife felt very comfortable and secure in his care.

Dr. Mecs is a wonderful doctor he has saved my life multiple times and now that he's back in office and willing to go back ??% as long as the website information is correct because I'm greatful for this amazing Dr thanks to him helping me in 2012 I now have birth to a beautiful baby boy and now I need his help again ??% I rather have a OBGYN full hands on deck someone I can rely on to be there for me and my child unlike Dr. Hojat I have to see him for now because I can't make it to Pittsburgh PA and speaking of Hojat you only see him maybe when you deliver a baby other wise you never see him or greet him and to me that's scary because even though you agree on a birth plan for Hojat you never know if another Dr will come in and see you crowning ready to push and here that Dr is a complete and total stranger and that's just not for me.... Dr. Mecs is the WORST!!! He talks down to you and clearly doesn't care about patients. He also wasn't very knowledgeable. He was very rude and creepy. I would never ever recommend him to anyone. Find a new Dr.!!!!

My experience was wonderful. He delivered both of my children. One in 1995 and the other in 2006. He fractured a foot or leg in December 2006, but he showed up and performed . I recommend him for any woman. He will absolutely perform above and beyond the calling of a doctor. He is an excellent gynecologist! Full of compassion with an immaculate bedside manner. I could not have had a better doctor. It is an insult to compare him to a middle school health teacher. No worries Dr. Mecs, I am an advocate of yours until the end.
