I also had poor experiences with the doctors and staff. The doctors never believed what I told them. Once I came in with a severe sore throat (so bad I felt like I couldn't swallow). They said it was a cold. I instructed them to do a strep test and refused to leave until they did. They came back quickly to say it was very positive (no need to wait for the cell culture). Another time I came in with a cough which I'd had for 2 weeks. They did a flu test said it was a cold so they couldn't do anything for me. I had to schedule a visit with my GP which took another week and by that time I had pneumonia.
The group of women i saw here are absolutely terrible. i go in having horrible chest pain and make you sit and wait for three hours. when you finally get into a room they take at least 30 minutes to come in. you can hear straight thru the walls and all they are doing is gossiping about Alanis Morrisette. And complaining abour their husbands and boyfriends. im not sorry but the entire group of women i saw was completely un adequate all except for the Xray girl she was very nice and did her job very well, she was very understanding of the pain i was in. Unlike the rest of her co workers Anyway it is completely unacceptable when someone has horrible chest pains and you make them wait 3 hours then tell them "its all in your head and we cant do anything have a nice day"
Horrible patient care, rude staff, no empathy whatsoever. Refused to do tests I'd been advised by family MD. Will not go back-ever. You shouldn't either.
They are the meanest, rudest secretaries around.I called and asked if there was a wait. They said they wouldn't answer that and hung up on me. I showed up sick with my kids and they again wouldn't tell me his long. The women was extremely rude and I ended up leaving I don't know how this place gets any business. Go to Icare.
Absolutely no bed side manners, didn't even ask if patient was having any pain. (Meanwhile got hand crushed). Doctors and nurses to busy talking about personal lives while you can hear everything (very inappropriate). Just sincerely disappointed in the overall experience here, especially being a Conemaugh building. Thought they'd expect more out of there employees. Not ever returning here.
If I could give them a zero review I would. Went there 2 days for my husband had eye infections in both eyes. I mean they were a mess. Not sure the ladies name I had she said she was a PA. Look at my husband from across the room and diagnosed him with pink eye. Proceded to ask why he waited so long to come in. They got infected from the morning. How much earlier we should have went don't know I guess before we had symptoms. She prescribed drops which on the direction said to put in right eye. Maybe if she would have gotten closer she would have seen it was in both eyes. Eyes are still a mess 2 days later. Guess we'll have to try to get a hold of our dr. tomorrow. Totally pissed!
Worst mistake I made was coming here in the first place! I needed some medical attention for having trouble breathing due to heavy chest congestion, over the counter medicines and a inhaler I previously had not effect. After signing in, I waited about 10 minutes. Then I was called in so that a nurse can ask me a few questions and take my vitals. Afterwards a Dr. Sharon Plank came in and saw me for a total of 45 seconds, not even a full minute. I literally had not time to explain to her what was going on as she already came to her own conclusions before even seeing me. I swear she could not even be bothered by patients seeking help. She told me that I should probably go to the ER the next time I have such issues then suggested that I take a benydryl and some mucinex with water and I should be fine. I had already told the nurse prior that I have been taking mucinex along with several different types of allergy medications to no effect, only worsening symptoms. I was then sent on my way with a script for a 1-pill cough suppressant. I am trying to expel this mucus from my lungs, why on earth do I need a cough suppressant for?? Sounds like counter-intuitive medicine practice to me. NEVER GO HERE! Please if you need medical help but do not want to go to the hospital, GO TO MED-EXPRESS INSTEAD! It is not even a quarter mile down the road.
I went there for a sore throat, very bad coughing and barely able to talk to get told it's nothing but allergies when I'm on 3 different allergy meds and I've never had any issues with losing my voice except for when I had laryngitis.
I will never go here again. Told the Dr. I was having severe body aches, especially lower back and headache. Severe 103 temp for nearly two weeks. Did NO tests at all told me I have the flu. If they did a flu test or urine test they would have seen I had a UTI and mono. Less than four days later I could not eat and could hardly walk, the UTI had spread to my kidneys. I go back and the doctor comes in says we can't see you if you have back pain. I had back pain four days ago and they saw me. The first time she said "Oh that is common with the flu". So which is it? They gave me a refund for that visit (but not the other one) and told me I need to go ER. TEST YOUR PATIENTS DON'T JUST ASSUME!!! A flu doesn't last for two weeks. I called the manager & said I wanted a refund for the first visit. I wouldn't have been as mad if they would have TESTED me and accurately diagnosed me. They didn't test me, nothing. Lower back pain is a huge sign for UTI.
This place is a joke. I was seen almost 2 weeks ago for my eye infection. The Dr refused to give me eye drops and would only give me a prescription for steriods. So here I am 2 weeks later my eye is still real bad and when I called to see if they would now give me the drops they still refuse and want me to drive back there 40 miles round trip to be jerked around again. Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
