List of David Bencie's Reviews
Dr Bencie was great until he started having this new guy, Ralph see his patients. He is a total joke and just wants to get you out of the room. My mom told him about pain in her ovaries and his response was to feel her hips then tell her she's fine. He is a joke and if Bencie wants to pawn his patients off to this clown, my mom will be switching doctors. She once had a blister on her foot, so this man literally grabs a wooden q-tip, breaks it in half, and STABS THE BLISTER WITH THE BROKEN WOOD. Dr. BENCIE, get your stuff together! This new guy is NOT IT. Any NORMAL doctor would've immediately sent her to an OBGYN. Too much work for this guy!
Dr. Bencie has been my primary physician for my years. I have every confidence in his ability to treat me or advise me about my care.
a very smart person...could not ask for a more caring doctor...human's are very difficult to please as one can tell by the few dissatisfied weasels....perhaps they know more about medicine and patient care and should look for enrolling in pre-med at a local university...
My father was Dr. Bencie's patient at Arbutus Manor for about one year. During that time he did nothing to control my Dad's sugar. He constantly ran in the High 300s and even in the 400s at times. He was arrogant and very unconcerned with my Father's health. I sat in on his check-up with my Dad. He did nothing but take up 3 or 4 minute of his time. My Dad's hand were very swelled up with fluid, when I asked about the he said (it could be arthritis). After that meeting I got him removed from being my Dad's doctor. It turned out that the new doctor says it is from kidney failure and maybe some congestive heart failure. The kidney failure can be a direct cause of the constant high blood sugars. There are other things but I don't have space to type it all. I put one star for poor, I wish there was a lower rating.
Very thorough, I have recommended my whole family to the practice. As you age so many new problems arise and all have been dealt with immediately. Very small wait time on my visits which is rare.
Absolutly unprofessional staff not military friendly at all either. I am a nurse and I hve never seen or heard of such patient mistreetment will follow up with professional board of ethics to ensure that he isnt practicing medicine in the future
Very good doctor. I am going blind, have MS, DVT, herniated discs in neck/ back, arthritis, leg muscle pains, mitral valve stenosis to name a few ...Dr. Bencie is one of the best doctors I’ve had.
I take my 93 year old mother to Dr. Bencie, and I can't imagine him treating his own mother with any more respect, care, or compassion than he treats my mom. He has always been extremely gentle, kind, caring, and very thorough in her care. I could not ask for more! Excellent care.
Their office has way too many patients and you will rarely actually see dr. Bencie. I Went in about a pain in my back and saw the other woman who works with him. First the doctor thought I was a different patient and then seemed very rushed and told me my pain was a muscle strain and prescribed me nothing to help. Two days later I had to leave work because my pain was so intense and I went to medwell. I found out I have a loose disk in my back AND a bladder infection. Never going back!
Very unprofessional, receptionists rude, scolded me when i called 3 days in a row trying to speak to someone and AWFUL at calling back and answering calls. Dr. Bencie was not compassionate and did not take his time during my sick visits. Also did not order my right titers correctly and do my 2 step tb test right in order for my to get into nursing school. I do not recommend this physician.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
