He's been my family doctor for years. I'm very satisfied.
Dr Matse is the best doctor in town. Very excited for his new office to open in Richland very soon.
wait is forever to get in but worth it once you do. Staff is friendly and take time with you. He takes time and called me back personally from home once. Recommend them to everybody
Great Doc and office. Need a few more people to answer the phone but over all will be bringing my kids to see him too when they get older
My husband and I love Dr. Matse and the girls- they treat you like family really caring. Can be hard getting through but worth the wait
I really like him! He is super helpful and has been my doctor for a long time. He is funny and caring and Jonie his nurse is the best. She really takes time with you. Although I do agree with the other people posting comments about phone times - the entire office is a much happier place with his new receptionist. She is the most kind girl and is so pleasant on the phone with everyone. It’s just the two girls working there and if you ever sit in the waiting room and hear the phone ring non-stop it’s a true miracle they ever have anytime to do anything else! I’ve sat there and heard the secretary answer over ten phone calls in 10 minutes! My goodness! So I doubt they ever aren’t out on hold because of laziness- I’ve never been in the office when either of them have not been on the phone! They are very busy office.
I think Dr. Matse is a good doctor. He is very laid-back and not your typical doctor. Like the other poster, my issue is with the receptionist – she is just nasty. Ever since she started there, I have had problems getting my prescriptions refilled. It is very hard to get thru because the lines are always busy. When you leave a message with the answering service, you don’t get a return call. It doesn’t do any good to have a good doctor when you can’t get thru to him or get the prescriptions that he wants you to take because his staff is too lazy to process them.
Based on staff as a whole I rated them a 3. Him and His nurse are wonderful, caring, compassionate and nonjudgmental. They are very understanding, nice to talk to, & very thorough when examining Patients. But I have also had unpleasant experiences with his medical secretary/receptionist. Behavior and language that should not be used in a customer service area. As for punctuality, the phone lines are usually always busy. On average it takes hitting redial 20 times before you can get through. Then you sometimes spend up to 20-30 minutes on hold. I've already been told by his receptionist "Sorry,I Forgot about you."No one likes to be forgotten about. Sometimes the wait time in his office is long, but that is not a bad thing because it means he is spending quality time with his patients. Rarely, do you get a call back on test results.Personally I feel a pt.has a right to know, good or bad. Dr. Matse is well educated and has a pleasant personality. He keeps up with the latest tx& medication

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
