David S. Zelouf's Online Review Report Card

I was referred for swelling and pain in right hand. After he examined the area which is visibly swollen ,and reading my MRI report, he said that the report is wrong, therefore the referring Dr. Was wrong. He was so dismissive about my pain and swelling and I felt my injury was insignificant to him ( I don’t have anything torn or broken)through the whole appointment. He spoke fast, examined fast with no concern or compassion. Once I left, my injury felt worse than it did when I arrived. It seems that he has mostly great reviews, It’s unfortunate that I didn’t experience ANY greatness. To add, he left myself AND my employer confused about the next steps for either of us to take. I’ve never experienced such demeaning behavior from a Dr. before.

Dr. Zelouf and his office are wonderful. Dr. Zelouf assured me that my hands and joints were in good shape so far. Very reassuring.

Dr.Zelouf took his time and assured me that with my injury all will be ok.

If you're looking for hand-holding sympathy and a gentle demeanor of expressive compassion, this is not your doctor. BUT if you are more interested in a dedicated professional who is SUPREMELY confident of his skills both as a diagnostician and surgeon, David Zelouf will fit your bill. He is quick, almost abrupt, to the point, direct. He will not waste your time, and will immediately treat your issue or outline a treatment game plan in a few terse statements. In today's world of uber-sensitivity, this medical pro is a breath of fresh, no-nonsense energy and competence. You want compassionate tenderness? Go to mommy, daddy, your wife or your dog. This man is a master craftsman. And he knows it. And he deserves to revel in the pride of his skills!!!

Patriarchal. Presumptuous. Condescending. Abusive. Unhelpful. Dr. Zelouf spent less than 5 minutes of face to face time with me, and yet somehow managed to dismiss, disrespect and invalidate me several times within those five minutes. I began my history with the words "I saw my physical therapist and they diagnosed me with..." he cut me off and demanded I start over. "I don't care about somebody else's diagnosis. Start again with your SYMPTOMS" he snarled at me. We never finished describing my symptoms, because he prematurely truncated that step to drill me through a series of commands so he could assess me. "I don't see any reason you could have 'X' Let's get X Ray's," he says 60 seconds later. How could he make this determination without inquiring into the repetitive strain put upon my body by my job as a nurse? When I return from x-ray, he comes into my room with supplies already prepared and medication already drawn into a syringe. We had not yet discussed diagnosis or treatment options. In that moment I decided I would not be allowing Dr. David Zelouf to touch me or treat me. Isn't it fantastic how quickly a patient loses trust in their physician? I did not feel safe in his care, and I was angered at his arrogant assumption that I wanted a treatment he hadn't even discussed with me yet. When I asked him about the appropriateness of light duty or medical leave, I was denied. I had not trialed formal rest and was hoping some time away from work would resolve my symptoms. "I don't allow people to stop work." He seemed stupefied by my request to take a conservative approach. If you are looking for a skilled surgeon, then Dr. Zelouf may still be a good fit. If you're looking for diagnosis, options and thorough care, look elsewhere.

I can sum it up with 1 word. AMAZING…5 star treatment, I have so many choices but I chose Doctor Zelouf….
