List of Erum Ilyas's Reviews
Dr. Ilyas is great! She was the third dermatologist I saw for a face rash that would not go away. I had been misdiagnosed previously and Dr. Ilyas properly diagnosed it and it finally went away. She answered all of my questions, was friendly, and professional. I highly recommend her!
The best!
Staff very unprofessional and not knowledgeable when it comes to absolutely anything.
Wonderful Dermatologist! Listens to ask of your concerns and treats you with respect.
Dr Ilyas is AWESOME, I would recommend her 1000 times and ALWAYS 5 STARS....HOWEVER the folks at the Schweiger group make every single interaction so painful. Making appoints takes 15-30 mins - canceling an appoint just took over 10 minutes....CRAZY, inefficient & wastes so much time
Today I had appointment with Dr Ilyas at 11:10 Am. I reported at 11:07 AM for the same. There was no one in front of me to be seen and after 1 hr of wait Receptionist had no clue on why I was not been seen and was ok to cancel the appointment. I had office meetings lined up so I finally canceled the appointment. Don't recommend this clinic if you respect other’s time and expect the same from others. I am now in search of better dermatologist practice in the area and considering going to Bryn Mawr. Advise to management - If you want to grow in the profession then start respecting other’s time. There are lots of good doctors/practices all around and they will certainly grab the opportunities you are ignoring. Forgot to add i could listen lots of laughs and chatting while waiting, not sure if they were doing party while so many patients were waiting to be seen. Pity on them.
Have been going to Dr. Ilyas for a number of years. She is thorough and patient. Her office staff are another matter, have had several problems with them, mostly about scheduling. For my latest appointment, I was instructed to call the office when I arrived in the parking lot, provide a call back # and wait to be called when an exam room was available since the office waiting was closed due to covid. Followed the directions and sat in my car for 1 hour, during which I saw number of patients park and go directly into the office without waiting. I left. Finally got the call to go in; I explained to the receptionist that I was frustrated with the hour wait and was furious watching other patients park and go in with no wait. The receptionist's response was "OK"......not an I'm sorry and no effort to reschedule. Sorry Dr. Ilyas, its time to look for another Dermatologist.
I agree that Dr. Ilyas is patient & listens, aside from being thorough. I also agree that she is excellent at explaining how/why or where you make have acquired a skin ailment & the process that ailment goes through, & then provides solutions &/or treatments. Dr. Ilyas has a pleasant personality so it makes you feel relaxed & she tells you what it is going to feel like (a pinch or sting, etc.) as she is treating your issue.
Always promptly seen. Suffer from eczema and after a week after visit flare ups dissapeare.
Dermatology is tricky, and Dr. Ilyas has a good eye for it. We had a few good experiences first but then after being a patient for two years, we were sorely disappointed at our treatment. our toddler was having terribly itchy skin in the middle of the night and was scratching to bleeding, we couldn’t seem to help ease it. In desperation we called dr.ilyas where they put us through to a call center for the on call doctor. We left a message with them and waited (screaming sleepless toddler waiting), 2 hours no call back. We returned call and tried again, no response back from the doctor. 6 times all together with no response from the doctor. Finally the doctor calls back after much stress and frustration and instead of providing guidance (I.e take your child to the ER) she berated us about how terrible we were for calling so many times and that we should have just taken her to the ER. That is not how the doctor on call calls are supposed to go, in any way. We managed to get an appointment with her the next day despite the lecture and chastisement. In the visit she didn’t lift a finger to examine our daughter but rather looked at us, disapprovingly and informed us it was an ear infection and we should just take her to the Er if it’s so unbearable. So we did. After four more hours of torture there was clearly no ear infection nor infection of any kind. They didn’t know what was wrong and sent us home. So what to make of all this? I will never recommend this dr., as it seems her ego overcomes any professional impetus to provide care. Shameful.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
