I completed the impatient program at Avenues this year. The facility and staff where amazing!!! The techs and counselors showed care and compassion and the community was amazing. This wasn’t my first inpatient program but definitely the most helpful.
From late 2021 to early 2022 I was a client at the Avenues Lake Ariel facility. It was my first time in treatment for addiction and found it to be a very caring and committed treatment center. It was a daunting and anxious choice that was made much easier and even pleasant thanks to the staff and counselors at Lake Ariel, many of whom are addicts themselves. At its core the program here is focused on truly helping you and creating a foundation for a fulfilling life.
I was a client at Avenues Recovery Center at Lake a Ariel. If you are looking for a family style and tailored approach for help, this is the place to be. With a mix of group and individual attention, this is a place where you will make life long friends and will be taken care by a staff that is not only genuine but has a personal connection to the cause. I found my experience life changing in a safe environment. Thank you Avenues for helping me on my recovery journey!
The staff really does care about you and your recovery. They have a drive to teach you the necessary skills needed to maintain sobriety. The medical staff and behavioral health techs are equally passionate and caring.
Avenues Recovery at Lake Ariel is a dedicated, professional rehabilitation center that demonstrates nothing but genuine care and concern for its clients and will go to the ends of the earth to make sure their needs are met. The staff is well equipped to address the complex problems of addiction and trauma that clients walk through the door with so that they leave feeling comfortable and confident to utilize the tools they learned to start new sober lives.
During the time spent at Avenues, the staff was absolutely amazing. The support and guidance I received was more than enough to jump start my recovery. The community is very close nit, and welcoming. With the best interest of their clients, they put you on the best recovery program to their knowledge. Would definitely recommend to any first timers like myself and or anyone in general.
I arrived here early October not knowing what to find...and with the help of the staff, my counselors, and the community I have started to find myself. Avenues has given me a new leash on life.
I have been to many programs or treatment centers through out my youth and young adult life, and have to say this has by far been exceptional for my recovery. I have finally learned that this is a ME problem, not a drug problem that I struggle with. Avenues has taught me this and I will forever be grateful. The staff was amazing and the facility is nice. I would certainly recommend this treatment center to who ever is need of help.
Ok here is the deal for this location and probably all otherS at first they say that they have a detox program but it’s really at the local hospital that’s a facility at all. There is good information at the facility and the feeling of family. That’s about all I have to say about the good things there. Now be aware Of water expect moving forward. The accommodations and the food are both less than desirable. But that’s the least of it, I signed up for a 14 day program and at the end of the 14 days they were insistent that I stay 28 days. Because I didn’t play ball with them and do the 28 days they tried to forced me to more. Because I was not willing I had to take a Uber back to the airport and set my flight up on my own or actually my wife did it. I think the bottom line is that they really don’t care about the individual as much as they care about the money. Counselors are not bad and I had at least one that stated they did not agree with the policy but it is what it is. I guess it depends on where you’re at on your recovery process but I would not go back. It’s in the middle of the mountains and even though it was raining they asked me to wait at the end of the driveway to receive my belongings in order to go home. I spoke to Mark the head guy there and he said they would do what they could do But the end result was they couldn’t do anything as far as listing the AMR and that was ridiculous after spending the 14 days that I had to agreed to. There are a lot of other options out there and I would urge you to check into them before you ever go to this location.
My experience at Avenues has been great. My counselor was awesome, she helped me identify things that I was not able to see for myself. The community is super supportive as well as the staff. All staff makes a point to connect with each client and is available whenever needed. The program integrates both clinical and sober recreation, allowing time to decompress, process, and learn to have fun in recovery. I’m grateful for the treatment I received at Avenues and would recommend this place to anyone that wants to be free from addiction and grow as a person.
I had a great feeling about this place from the get-go. There were many five-star reviews but sometimes those can be forged or purchased. But when I contacted their facility, I worked very closely with many of them advocating for me to get into The Lake Ariel facility. When I got here, I was promptly greeted by various individuals that I became to love and will miss dearly. They assigned me a buddy; he will forever go down as one of my favorite sober friends. He showed me the ropes and made me feel at home. Here they challenged me and changed my life forever. This was the best step I could have ever taken in my sobriety and my continuing care. The Counselors here are second to none, they cared about me even if I wasn’t assigned to them and they constantly checked in both in group and outside of group. The techs here have fun with the clients by often running group and just giving wonderful encouragement throughout our recovery process. There were even times they sat in on group if they had a legitimate concern for the client and offered their own advice from their own experiences. I cannot recommend this place enough if you are looking to get help or live a life of sobriety because Avenues gave me that second chance at life that I didn’t know I could have or deserve. But now I know I can have a better life and I deserve it. 10 out of 5 stars if I could mark that!!!!
I would not have been as successful without the wonderful staff. Everyone is very helpful and supportive.
I recently completed Avenue’s in-patient 35 day recovery program. The program exceeded expectations in professionalism, clinical support, and overall treatment towards a life of sobriety. Being a tightly knit community, we were free to explore ourselves in what led us towards addiction and most importantly, how to best structure and plan the next steps to recovery in the real world. The clinicians and staff were highly engaging and supporting during the recovery process, helping ground us into tackling / embracing life challenges through a new mindset. I was very pleased with the overall experience as the 5 weeks flew by. Above all, I’m going to truly miss the amazing people that made up our community as well as their stories and perspectives.
Long time drug addict, first time rehabber, and here’s my honest assessment…I agreed to jump on a flight to go to Avenues for addiction treatment, except that I had no idea what to expect, where I was going, or even what the name of the place was. I assumed the worst possible scenarios during my late-night journey to the facility. All the crazy possibilities crossed my mind: “this place is going to be miserable”, “they’re going to lock me in a padded cell and throw away the key”, “I’ll never see my family or loved ones again”, and the biggest one- “I’ve probably just joined a cult”. After my late-night arrival at the remote facility, getting through the intake process and catching up on some sleep, I awoke to an unexpected experience. Everyone from the staff to the community of clients were warm and welcoming. I almost immediately felt at home and comfortable. During my 35 days stay at Avenues, I have made multiple friends and learned more about addiction and recovery than I ever imagined. God forbid I ever relapse, but if I do, I’ll be begging to come back to Avenues where I know I’ll always be treated like family and not just a client.
Came in here broken, leaving strong and with the tools to stay sober. Staff that truly cares about you and you're recovery, and understands 100% what you are going through and how to help. An amazing place where you will truly grow as a person.
Avenues of Lake Ariel's staff is very helpful, compassionate and all about each clients recovery. I would definitely recommend Avenues for those suffering from addiction and serious about their recovery.
This community is one of the most supportive environments you could hope for. The staff is amazing. They bring in treats, are available when you need to talk and in general for support. The patients become a family. I have made some lifelong friends who helped me through the tough times and the good times. The clinicians are available and help get to the route of the trouble. While the work can be tough, it makes the journey to sobriety possible.
I just finished up my stay at Avenues, and it was fantastic. The small community helps you become very close with your peers and really allows you to speak honestly and open up and get to the nitty gritty. All the staff members were extremely helpful and always available whenever I needed help. All I had to do was ask for it. The help I received here was better then any treatment I have undergone and I feel as though it prepared me for taking the next step in my recovery and my return to family life. I would highly recommend Avenues to anybody who wants to start their recovery journey. Lots of fun activities and different groups throughout the day makes the day go by much faster. I enjoyed my stay very much.
I am very happy I chose to come to Avenues. The staff is great from the clinical director to the counselors, to the techs. They really care about your recovery and go out of their way to help you. The program is great and really impactful. They really strive to emphasize the importance of community in your recovery. It feels like you are leaving family by the time you are ready to go. I highly recommend coming to this facility if you think you need help with addiction.
I have been to several treatment centers in the past and there is not a better facility than Avenues of Lake Ariel. The staff goes above and beyond what normal staff does and they genuinely care about their clients. The location of the treatment center is beautiful. The facility itself is clean inside and up to date, with new additions coming soon. The staff here did not give up and did everything they could to keep me here to provide me with the best care available. The groups are engaging and exciting, making recovery more hopeful. Everyone is very well versed in the disease of addiction and co-occurring issues. This place has given me hope and has helped me realize that I could live a happy joyous life in recovery.
