Dr. Johnson IS your second, third, fourth, whatever opinion. He is the ONLY cardiologist that listened to me. He looked at the issues and laid it out on a table. My option was "you're ultimately going to need a pacemaker". I was only 24, my parents didn't want to believe it.But, Dr. Johnson saved my life. He saw the problem and tried to fix it. In the meantime we decided to get a second opinion (as most people with severe medical issues should). This other cardiologist was going to ship me off to Cleveland and told me I didn't need a pacemaker.Fast forward a month, I'm in the hospital now. Should've listened to Dr Johnson from the get go, because now it's an urgent situation. I needed a pacemaker that week. I had it in after 4 days in ICU and one day in day hospital. Recovery was smooth as butter for someone like me, and he truly saved my life. I wasn't functioning properly. I didn't even KNOW!! Thank you Dr Johnson. You and your staff are absolutely astounding.

I'm giving this place a 1 because my son was seen here, years ago, and put some kind of info from my son in wrong told me that he didn't have insurance when he did, but ended up billing me for almost 16,000 for 3 yr. I called today to get his medical records and they told me they don't have any thing on the system about him, how is this even possible? Cause he used to be seen at Hershey, and they had his records.

Dr Bertram neglected to read my event card from my Holter monitor and misdiagnosed my condition. They then billed me for a copayment I had already made.

This man really knows his stuff! He's witty and fun to visit too. I was getting chest pain and palpitations for about two years and every other doctor told me it was just anxiety and put me on Lexapro, which was terrible. I finally went to a cardiologist, and he noticed a Mitral Valve Prolapsed immediately and got me a series of tests to put my mind at ease. He really helped me understand what was happening and is always available to answer any questions. He truly cares about his patients. He has a vast knowledge of the available medications and put me on Beincar and it has zero side effects and is really doing wonders for me! Basically, if you're in the area, go to him!

Was quite satisfied with appointment, everything was explained in full. Doctor was very caring and helpful.Appointment was made and only waited 10 minutes till seen.
