List of Healthy Weight Management And Bariatric Surgery's Reviews
One of the worst healthcare experiences I have ever had. The only bright spot in the process was the dietitian I worked with when I first started the program, who has apparently left the practice. From the day of my surgery onward, it has been a comedy of errors. Post-op complications that had to be diagnosed by someone NOT on the staff of Healthy Weight Management. Having to take a day off and camp out in the office demanding help before getting a referral to diagnose a post-op ulcer. Complete lack of communication among the staff. Unclear directions from the surgeon. Dietitians and exercise physiologists who set new standards for unprofessional behavior and who made it clear that I was an inconvenience to them. As I write this, I am 15 weeks and 5 days post-op, and I'm no further along in my recovery than I was at two weeks. I'm still basically on a puree diet, I have no idea how many grams of carbs and how many grams of protein I should be getting in any given day, I'm basically just stumbling along in the dark based on whatever information I can find via Google, and every time I reach out to the staff at Healthy Weight Management to ask for help, I get told that they're really short staffed and can't help me until my 4-month post-op visit. If you're considering bariatric surgery, do yourself a favor and have it done somewhere else.
This was at the Bariatric and Weight Management Clinic. I was having a rough day and I was simply trying to cancel and reschedule an exercise appt and she was just awful to me on the phone. Excuse me for not being able to predict urgent issues! I was nothing but nice to her and she went out of her way to be disrespectful. I want you to know you didn't hurt me which is what you wanted to accomplish. Lol. There's enough hate and hurt in the world don't be mean to others. You clearly need God in your life!
Wonderful doctors and staff.
If I didn’t have a long term goal of a healthy lifestyle-I would disconnect from them. I’ve left voicemails that have never been returned. Called several times a day, tried several different extensions and no one answers. Have showed up to attend mandatory classes and no one was available to teach the class. The negatives have by far exceeded the positives. If you’re not already committed to this place, I’d research other practices!
As a disabled veteran and active patient from the Lebanon VAMC who is now two weeks post-surgery I HIGHLY recommend Dr. McPhee and this program. A year ago I sought out a program close to home as the VA sends veterans to Pittsburgh for bariatric weightloss. I have a couple friends & family who utilized this program and had very good experiences. Moreover after reading about Dr. McPhee's background as a veteran and highly experienced reputable surgeon it was an easy choice. Unlike a previous recent review from a Lebanon VAMC veteran, I found quite the opposite. Everyone has different opinions & expectations from their healthcare providers so reviews can be very biased. Based on my first-hand experience having had the surgery, Dr. McPhee is a fantastic compassionate highly reputable experienced surgeon and USN veteran. Like ALL weight loss & bariatric surgery programs they are extremely busy as obesity in our Country is so prevalent so its easy to feel like you're just a number. But as you work your way through the program you quickly develop a rapport with your care team. Moreover if you embrace the program, have a willingness to make the changes & sacrifices, utilize the plethora of resources and tools they provide you with and follow the program you will succeed. I couldn't have asked for a better experience to be honest and I'm forever grateful Dr. McPhee changed my life and honestly helped save my life.
I was the first patient from the Lebanon VA to be sent see Dr McPhee or any of the other doctors. I quickly came to the conclusion that this place was not right for me because I kept getting mixed messages from many different people and even though I left messages for 2 weeks on one person's phone I never got a phone call back until I made two more. The dietitian that I saw was more worried about her daughter getting in trouble with LCHS then hearing my needs. The best part I can say about this place is Derek and his assistant in the gym they were awesome. But as for the rest even after I spoke to the office manager about my concerns she didn't seem too concerned about them so I decided to drop out and go elsewhere. One of the previous reviews state that they felt like a cattle being pushed through the program and that's a very good review of this program. As a veteran I would not recommend that the Lebanon VA send any more patients there. It was not a good experience and I cannot recommend it for anyone and I am retired after more than 30 years in the medical field. I was very disappointed and I emphasize very disappointed in this program. My best advice look at other places around the SQ Valley before deciding on this one.
The programs themselves are effective. There are some really cool people on staff. But you will feel like cattle being shuffled through as quickly as possible while they mindlessly tick their boxes. If you have a question, forget it. There's only one person who can answer and they are so overworked that they cannot respond to emails or return calls. I totally slipped through the cracks here. Don't recommend.
I would recommend them in a heart beat.
Lo mejor que me a pasado en la vida . Mi mejor decicion

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
