Typical DO personality - calming and reassuring personality, down-to-earth, no overt ego, listens, not pushy, not rushed, answers questions with respect. Husband and I have had him for 3 procedures in recent years, and follow-up, and feel very fortunate.

I went to Dr. Allegretti at the recommendation of a very good friend whose life Dr. Allegretti saved by way of a new procedure. He is "tops" in my book. I will always recommend him to any one who is searching for an exceptional gastroenterologist.

very knowledgeable, open for many different appointment time slots which was nice, and did not take long to "get in".. very educated and took time to chat and talk to my husband and I about his GI health. I would recommend him, and have been to everyone I know

He is one of the very best doctors on the east coast. His schooling and background as a DO provides him with insight into conditions outside of his immediate practice. I highly recommend Doctor Allegretti.

Best dr ever. Truly cares about you. Takes as much time with you as wanted and needed. Always trying his best to get to the bottom of things. Super compassionate, and kind. Fantastic bed side manor. I met Dr. Allegretti in 2012. I came to him in tears because I had been diagnosed with UC by another doc in his practice that I didn't care for. I cried to him that I had no quality of life and he reassured me over and over that he could help me! I was so doubtful that I could one day be in remission and now it is five years later and I have been in remission for almost four years. This man is the best doctor I have ever dealt with and I was a self proclaimed hypochondriac!

I actually have recommended friends to him. He is a funny, caring, and loving doctor, who will fight for his patients and will never stop trying to find new medicines for them, when one is not working. I cannot put into words how amazing he really is. I TRUST him with my life. And I thank god every day that he was the one to walk into my hospital room, introducing himself to me and how he really. has a fascination with Crohns disease.
