List of Benjamin I Chu's Reviews
Dr. Chu is excellent. The office staff is great and helpful. From the first visit to after surgery, excellent care given. Dr. Chu takes time with questions, listens to what symptoms are, gives advice on steps to take, etc. . . Dr. Chu and staff are highly recommended
I've around many doctors over the years due to a battle with cancer and Dr Chu is one of the best! Love for his work and patients is evident and he is not quick to the knife. He wants to help you get your body to work the way it's supposed to. I never feel rushed to leave the office or that he is in a hurry to move on.
Dr Chu is the one I call my angel . Every time i visit his office and get the injection- i am back to myself . He always explains everything and take the time to listen to you . He is very professional and you feel he loves his work . Highly recommend.
Excellence is a word I would use to describe Dr. Chu. He is clearly interested in his patients and one immediately feels at ease. He listens and takes the time needed to understand the issue. He then, thoughtfully, offers options and makes sure that you, as the patient, understand those options and can make a good decision. I first met Dr. Chu following an ER visit several years ago when I suffered a knee fracture. I was impressed with him then and knew that if I ever needed to meet again with an orthopedic doctor I would seek out Dr. Chu. Thank you, Doctor!
I went to Dr. Chu for a second opinion regarding a full tear of my rotator cuff. The first doctor I saw offered one option - surgery. Dr. Chu examined the MRI, examined my shoulder, asked questions, and explained everything to me. Together as a team, we decided on trying several weeks of PT. My experience with PT was successful. Not everyone will have the same experience with PT as I did; but everyone WILL have the same experience with Dr. Chu - someone who will listen and take the time to help you decide the best course of action for you!
I tore my ACL skiing in 2022. I was back skiing 8.5 months later (2-5-2023) entirely because of Dr. Chu! From the moment I saw him, he was clear in what was wrong and the multiple paths to fix the ACL. He discussed the autograft vs allograft, providing the pros and cons to both. Dr Chu and I both felt confident in going with the Autograft and the surgery was a complete success. The post-op visits to Dr Chu were great to keep my mind in the right spot and check on my progress. At one point 4 months post-op, I had a weird fall and thought I had re-tore the ACL. I called the office and was immediately brought in a couple days later. Thankfully, nothing was damaged but I was so appreciative of being seen so quickly by Dr Chu. Overall 5/5 stars for Dr Chu and I would use him again, I just hope I never have to!

I just completed my second experience with Dr Chu. This time a torn rotator cuff and upper bicep. I’m am almost back to normal in 4 months post op. While obviously, these results can’t be guaranteed, a large reason for my success is not only Dr Chu’s surgical expertise, but his intuitive nature. He allowed me to progress within my own knowledge of my body. Along with a superior PT recommendation by Dr Chu which was equally intuitive and knowledgeable. I cannot recommend Dr Chu more. Hopefully you’ll never need him, but if you do, you will be very happy.
Dr. Chu was very thorough and detailed in his evaluation and treatment of my knee injury. He diagnosed the injury with pinpoint accuracy and recommended the right Physical therapy center close to my residence. It was a success, and my knee pain is basically gone, no surgery is required, and a clear path to being 100% has been set. Dr Chu is also very personable and does his best to accommodate his patients in every way. I would highly recommend him for any Orthopedic related issues.
5 years ago, Dr Chu performed knee surgery for me and I made a full recovery. Unfortunately, my other knee needed the same surgery. It is a little over a month later and my knee is recovering great. Hopefully, no more problems in the future but if I have any knee issues again, I would reach out to Dr Chu to help heal me.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
