Dr. Phelps is very knowledgeable and explains things in lay terms thoroughly. He also has a good bedside manner. The reason for 3 stars is because he misdiagnosed a family member, which happens, as doctors are human. However in this case, Dr. Lambert was completely certain when he diagnosed him....I got the impression that he may be a little TOO sure of himself. There’s no shame in referring a patient out to a specialist, in fact I think it’s a general practitioner’s duty to do so in many cases. It could be nothing but I do worry when I see overconfidence in physicians, especially younger ones.
