My glasses broke and the ladies here took such good care of me and the situation. I am very impressed and at first wasn't sure if I was going to be back, but I absolutely will be.
staff is so kind and knowledgeable!
Both my husband and daughter had appointments with Dr. Duncan last week. Dr. Duncan relied heavily on the base prescription provided by the automated measuring devices, spending insufficient time confirming that the prescription was optimal. Only two options (last year’s prescription and the prescription from 2 years ago) were presented to my daughter to determine which was better, and these options were only displayed one time on each eye, not even once with both eyes together. This abbreviated prescription verification was all that was done, despite her mentioning to staff that she was having difficulty reading with her current prescription. As a new driver, it is even more critical for her to be able to see clearly. She was sent home with the exact same prescription as last year. My husband’s experience was only mildly improved. He was given three options to choose from when confirming the prescription (astigmatism correction, axis, etc...) instead of two. Again, this is not enough information to verify that the automated prescription is accurate. My husband was not experiencing issues with his current prescription, but every other optometrist has spent significantly more time verifying the prescription to determine that it will enable their patient to see as well as possible. I called the office to voice these concerns and discuss our options to have my daughter's prescription reevaluated but have yet to hear back from anyone regarding these concerns. We took my daughter to a different optometrist today (paying out of pocket). Surprise, surprise - her prescription had changed. We have been patients at this office for 20 years, and never had an issue with Dr. Seria or Dr. Cater. With Dr. Duncan as the sole provider now, we will not be back. The quality of care that he provides is overwhelmingly insufficient.
First time going to this practice since Dr Seria retired and will be my last! The worst experience at an eye dr office i have had in 57 years of wearing glasses/contacts. Comparing this Dr to Dr Seria, I didn't feel like he was as thorough, not personable, they offer a service for $35.00, that Dr Seria did in the exam. I ordered new glasses and when they came in, I was handed them and asked if they fit. She did not check and see if they fit correctly as always done in the past. She did take the one leg of the glasses and tried bending it until it made a cracking noise, to which she said don't try that at home. I also ordered new contacts, although the Dr kept trying to get me to wear glasses instead of contacts, which i repeated that I prefer my contacts. Had an issue with one lense, asked them to order me a new one, instead they were to be returned and polished. 3 weeks later, nothing had been done, so I took the one lense and asked for a credit for the damaged one. Total lack of communication, professionalism, such a disappointment from Dr Seria. I would not recommend this place to anyone.
Everyone at the office was great! I had seen Dr. Duncan, and he was sure to explain all options, as we went along. All office staff were so friendly, and made the process as easy as possible. Will definitely recommend this practice, to anyone. Received my new glasses in less than a week, and seeing great now!
I can't believe I'm reviewing an eye doctor, but my first and final experience with Dr. Jeffrey Duncan was so horrific today that I will never come back. It's sad to see how far this office has fallen so quickly
This was my first time going to Family Eye care and I will say that I was treated like one of the family. The front desk was awesome while registering me and when I got to the doctor I felt very at ease. The Doctor was very thorough and explained everything to me. Was very honest about what I needed and what I needed to stop doing. Selecting my new glasses was a breeze the assistant listened to what I did and didn't want and did not try to push anything on me and took time with me and figured out the best price. I wound up picking out a pair of glasses and a pair of sunglasses. I had a great experience all the way around. Thanks Lisa for finding me a new eye doctor!!
My husband and I have had a great experience with Family Eyecare from the receptionist to technician s and Doctor Cater they have been so attentive, patient and professional. We each ordered glasses there and they were delivered a week earlier than expected with the perfect RX.
Dr.Seria is a caring and amazing doctor. He will be missed!
The office has changed hands and now this office has changed to being unfriendly and non caring of it clients. I have been going there for years and will be changing to a new doctor. I am sure they will be losing a lot of there long time clients

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
