Fractured foot on 2/26. Xrayed at Paoli Hospital. Referred me to an Orthopedic Surgeon at Premier Orthopaedics in Exton PA. Saw a Dr. Ewell. He was very nonchalant. Never even looked at my foot. Told me that I could walk on the foot without any issues. BIG MISTAKE!!! Decided to have another xray in March. The 2nd x-ray showed that the break had not changed since the original fracture. So I contacted Premier Orthopaedics in Exton to schedule an appointment with a different Orthopedic Surgeon. I went to see an Orthopedic Surgeon Dr. Jason Miller. He was very nice. He examined my foot and determined that I needed a device called a Bone Stimulator. It's a battery operated device that sends ultrasonic waves to speed healing of the fracture. To this date, 5/10/2022, I have yet to receive the Exogen Bone Stimulator device. And only for one reason; Dr. Miller's refusal to have the pier-to-pier conversion with Humana Medicare requires. 14 calls and still no return calls. And NO BONE STIMULATOR!

I was very nervous initially but staff, and Dr. assistance were all quite helpful and knowledgeable, I didn't exactly know what to expect in regard to procedure, and I was given assurance by their detailed explanation, on not just the procedure, but post op also. The consultation was thoroughly informative. The very same day, the X-rays of my feet were taken to decide how far the malformation was, and it all went smoothly from there. This is well ran system, today I'm a week into my surgery, and I'm in very minimal discomfort, but thankful that the post op info I was given is right on target! I had bunion surgery in Dec 2017 by Dr. Miller. For years I held off having bunion surgery in fear that my passion for running & cycling would be affected. With Dr. Miller's confidence that within months I would be back & better I went ahead & had bunion surgery. It was the best thing I could have done for myself. Within months I was back at it and just this past weekend I completed the Disney Half Marathon! Dr. Miller is an excellent surgeon. I was happy with his confidence and his team.

He fixed my arthritis in my ankle by doing a full ankle replacement. It worked. He definitely knows what he’s doing. The pain is gone and I can walk normally again. Praise the Lord for letting us find and trust Dr Miller to operate on me. He was confident he could fix me and he did. The recovery plan and time it would take were what he told me and it wasn’t hard to do.

Came as a 3rd opinion and immediately was told the plan. Surgical plan was far more coherent than what I heard elsewhere and made sense. Would highly recommend to anyone. Final outcome was great.

Like any procedure, my tendon repair was pretty uncomfortable for a few weeks, but things came along nicely and I am pleased with our results. Getting back to exercising is very nice. Thanks
