By far the best Pain Doctor I've have been too. She is very thorough and makes sure you are being treated appropriately. As long as you follow the office rules which are simple and in place to keep both Dr. Hanna and the Patient protected. You will never have problems. She is the best Pain management Doctor I have had the pleasure of being a patient of in my 15 years thus far of needing to see one.(I have seen many Pain Management Doctors before I found Dr.Hanna. I am grateful that I did find her.) So if you need a Pain management I highly recommend this Doctor.

Dr. Hanna is thorough with her appointments and she has helped me with every visit I’ve had. I’ve been going to her for approximately 10 years now. One year I had 5 surgeries all different issues and Dr. Hanna has been there for me with each one. She’s not a surgeon but she’s a great doctor. Plus,I have not become an addict with any pain pills. I highly recommend her as a doctor.

I highly recommend DR SOPHIE HANNA for her TALENT and EXPERTISE in treating patients. My experience with the office staff was excellent from beginning to end. The office was clean, organized, and precautions from covid 19 where followed. Dr Hanna took the time to thoroughly understand my pain. I have spinal stenosis and required a lumbar spinal injection at l4 and l5 I can tell you that I dont care for needles. She was very GENTLE and explained the procedure in detail. The follow up video visit was equally professional. The answers to her questions provide important information to the insurance company and to her understanding of my condition. I would send my family to this doctor.

HORRIBLE...The practice was dropped by UPMC. My father had 2 appointments schedule for back to back spinal injections. After completing the first injection and returning home, he received a call from the office saying his insurance was no longer valid so he would have to pay out of pocket for the injection he just received and then pay out of pocket for the appointment he had the following day. I called on his behalf and the "office manager" agreed he didn't have to pay for either and he could file an appeal with UPMC. The next morning at 8 am (appt was scheduled for 10 am), the "office manager" called and said "sorry, you have to pay $500 before we will treat you with your second injection". Totally unethical! We have contacted a lawyer and UPMC confirmed today the practice received a notice of termination 60 days ago.

Disorganized. Dr doesnt retain information. Also advised me I "should have asked my discharging dr from a recent hospitalization for a 10 day supply of my meds"....that is 100 percent against REGULATIONS. Their drug screening is cheap and they dont do repeat drug screens if your drug screen comes up clear. No compassion. Save yourself the trouble and find a dr with better rating. Everywhere I looked she doesnt have above a 3 star rating. That is terrible for a doctor. I have collected information over the past couple months and will be filing a complaint.

Dr Hanna's telephone staff needs refresher training. Unlike what I was told of the Dr (being patient and taking the time to listen), they were impatient. I was attempting to advise them of a real concern of difficulties getting through to them on the business number along with my friend's special need with his phone and was advised 'we're busy'. I was assisting him because he had been trying to contact the office for a couple weeks. My first attempt on his behalf met also with strange tones not unlike a busy signal but not a busy signal and I didn't get through to the office. Finally getting through myself I was treated as noted herein. Not reaching a business during business hours is financially impacting. Older people take longer sometimes to articulate. Therefore if Dr Hanna's interests are only of a younger clientele who speak today's ridiculously fast and unintelligible language then the practice will thrive, if they manage to patiently work through whatever the phone problems are. Based upon the reality that western Pennsylvania is expeditiously gaining in senior citizens of baby boomers who were reared and act with a semblance of genuine kindness, concern, compassion, and patience because aging brings issues including, but not limited to, needing more time to articulate, foreseeing continued business of elderly here is doubtful. I would not reccomend this dr. The office and main doctor is unorganized, care is inconsistent and I was advised by the doctor to do something that was against my contract and against regulations. Be very careful if you do come here. I had to withdraw myself from care because I was uneasy about my treatment.

So bad I had to withdraw my self from care. Information isnt retained or shared between doctors. I was advised to do something that was not only against my contract but against regulations. I was blamed for their mistakes even though I was careful to follow all rules even if the doc didnt. Please find better care.

Very compassionate and caring. Explains in detail and answers all questions. Never rushes you. Staff has always returned calls within 24 hours and been helpful. Sometimes there is a lengthy wait but I feel that it is nice to know she takes the extra time with a patient when needed.
