I am perplexed by several negative reviews I see on this site. My in-laws experienced all three levels of care - cottage, apartment & nursing care at Messiah Lifeways, while my own parents resided at another retirement facility in York. When comparing the two organization and the quality and empathy of care; there is simply no comparison. My in-laws at Messiah Lifeways received far more superior care than my parents did at their facility. In my mind, Messiah Lifeways sets a high standard for elder care and support.

Do not work for them especially if your a minority (Black) they will screw your over and play with your clock in time. They will ask you to come to work at a certain time and mark you late on purpose. They will treat you unfairly and make you look like your slow when you have a meeting with them.

Very terrible place. They ignore the basic needs of their residents and the food is below quality and served cold most of the time. Their main excuse is always “we’re short staffed from the pandemic.” Pathetic excuses and a lot of em. Don’t put your loved ones here. There’s no love in this place. They don’t sell healthcare, they sell real estate.

My wife loved the services they provided her and the people that worked with her in many capacities. BUT the problem is that administrators aren't so caring-just interested in money. They have so many new rules all the time that just add to the stress of caregivers. They are so inflexible and when you get upset with them, they threaten you and make it difficult to function there. BE CAREFUL!
