Upmc Urgent Care Mechanicsburg's Online Review Report Card

If I could give it a zero star I would. My experience was terrible front desk staff was rude to everyone that came in. Heard them talking about patient which’s not only against HIPPA but also very unprofessional. On to when I was taken back to get my stitches removed she was very aggressive removing the sutures I told her on multiple occasions I was in pain and to stop. As someone in the medical field that’s first sign to STOP! After they were taken out I was bleeding a fair amount all on my hand instead of wiping it or applying pressure she threw a bandaid on it and left. Again very unprofessional and very painful process.

So, to start off, I had slammed my thumb in my car door and waited for a couple of days. The doctor said I had fractured it, and she prescribed me some pain relief pills. I told her I was allergic to some pain relief drugs and she gave me, what I thought, was something I wasn't going to be allergic to. Turns out, I was actually allergic to the pills that she gave me, and it's also something that's messing with my vision. I was told to take the pills til they are gone. I looked it up online and they said only take it for 15 days. She NEVER said that. I didn't have health insurance so I had to pat everything out of pocket. Still dealing with my vision issues and it won't be gone til August of this year, and it's already been since February! Will never be going back here EVER again. Worse. Place. Ever.

Listen, this place deserves something special. I came in just a bit before close and these people got me fixed up and stayed with me until my wife was able to come back and get me. That takes a seriously special person to care that much. Thank you to all the people that were there 06/07/2023. You guys rock.

FYI - your waiting time is not always the how long you wait. So before you post the time given for your wait. Be patient and wait or you can leave. It's Always your choice.

Had to wait 2 hours just to receive the treatment I already knew I’d receive in the form of oral steroids. Meanwhile I get to wait in the waiting room and itch myself raw from poison ivy rash all over my body:)

Staff was professiinal and friendly and good natured. Only issue was 2 1/2 hr wait with 6 people in front of me but it was a Saturday and I think the were short staffed. Other than that awesome staff, great care and was out quickly with a script for my ear infection. Thank you for the pleasant experience.

The wait was long but it’s an Urgent Care. They usually are long waits but Francesca was absolutely wonderful with my daughter and the Nicole, the doctor, was just as wonderful.

Took my 6yo there with something in his eye. We didn't have a copy of his insurance card with us even though he has insurance. The staff was rude and dismissive, unwilling to even attempt to look up the insurance. We were told that they would not see him without us having his card. The kid was clearly in pain, crying his eyes out. I was under the impression that doctors are supposed to treat conditions threatening Life, Limb, or Eyesight, without question. This place is a joke. Keep driving if you are sick or hurt. You are nothing but a number to the staff at this location. UPMC should be ashamed of the people working at this location.

Went to Urgent Care tonight and it was a great experience! I saw Cordelia and she was so personable, friendly and caring! Staff was super nice!!
