Great first visit, competent office staff, the doctor concurred with the emergency dept diagnosis to continue current treatment. Offered additional advise for home exercise to keep my injury from getting to tight. Perfect care with a warm and friendly demeanor. Would highly recommend to anyone looking for quality care.
I met with another doctor in the same practice and was diagnosed through an MRI with a stress fracture in my left foot. He referred me to Doctor Welker. When I met with him he looked at the X Ray and discussed an alignment problem. I was confused he never spoke of the stress fracture and the MRI. I called the next day with questions concerning the stress fracture. When his nursed called me back she seemed irritated with my questions. She set up an appt two weeks out. When I met with him he started with I don't appreciate you accusing me of not looking the the MRI. He was so rude and angry never once looked at my foot or wanted to discuss my fracture. Instead of having a medical consultation I felt It was a personal confrontation. It was so unprofessional, thank goodness my husband, Charles Williamson was with me because it would be very hard to believe that a doctor would behave that way.
Dr. Welker surgically repaired a broken bone in my foot. I think he is an excellent doctor and I was impressed with his staff as well. I hope I don't need his services again, but if I do, he will be my first choice. Sincerely, Hiram
Dr. Welker is an excellent doctor. He has done surgery on me 2 times and I would never go to another doctor for my Orthopedic need a. He is kind and considerate.
My mother-in-law broke her knee on a Monday. She couldn't get into the Doctor's colleague until Thursday who said she needed surgery. The office schedule the appointment for the next day Friday. My Mother-in-law's leg is in a brace she can't bend it. She is having a hard time with the stairs to get in and out of her house. My husband wakes up early to take her to the appointment. They get there to find out he is not in the office. Office wants to know if she can come back NEXT Friday. My husband takes her mother home and vents that he took his mom to a doctor's appointment to find the doctor isn't there. Thin skin has his office call my mother-in-law and tell her he felt compromised and she needs to find another doctor.
Performed my Achilles surgery, constant denial when I experienced severe pain post op. Blamed anesthesiologist (nerve block), then recommended MRI on spine. I did the research myself which was then confirmed by 2nd opinion as damage to sural nerve and complex regional pain syndrome. Best long term results with early diagnosis, unfortunately Welker kept kicking the can down the road. I am now in constant pain. 34 and this may never go away. Please avoid this guy.
I've had two broken legs in the last two years. Never would I ever consider seeing any other doctor. He is personable, knowledgeable and extremely respectful.
He is interested in the entire person. If I came to an appointment in a down mode, he would always be compassionate and kind. On a medicate note, he is the other surgeon that I would ever have perform surgery on my feet again! Dr. Welker and the entire Advanced care staff are amazing and I will not go to another surgeon, unless of course I break something else an have to go to another doctor in the practice. A++++ in my book!!
Arrogant, confrontational, and tardy.
I had server foot problems because of a different foot doctor, Gateway Foot and Ankle, Tom Baer. Dr. Welker really did a fantastic job after the mess Dr. Tom Baer left me with. I wasn't able to walk and all bones in my right foot were fractured, it took alot of work to get my foot fixed and I'm able to walk again. Thank you Dr. Welker!

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
