like going to factory for surgery. nurse could inject needle in my left hand after several attempts. Then went o my right hand.People were lined up waiting in may rooms waiting one after another. Day after surgery my eyes was tatally blurred. Mt eye doctor told me cornia was swollen. Two weeks later I am still blurred and I have floaters in my eyes. Miserable experience
went for cateract surgery. Upon arriving at surgery center I waited almost two hours. The nurse messed up on penetrating my left hand to insert needle foe anestitic. Then she went in my right hand kept pushing needle. There were numerous patients waiting in long line of rooms like a factory. Next day after surgery my eye was totally blurred. My eye doctor told me the cornia was swollen. Two week later I have blurred vision and floaters. I called Dr Roms office once again and now they want me to see another specialist. never again. terrible experience.
I saw Dr Rom several years ago and had surgery for cataracs, He told me he would use a special machine to get my vision almost perfect. When the operation was over, I waited to days and I noticed that I had many floaters that I did not have before. They were and still are so bad that I have a difficult time reading sometimes and my vision also is often blurred. I went back and he told me of an operation that I would have to pay for, of course. He told me that everything would be Ok if I see another Doctor who would take all the fluid out of my eyes and replace it with salt water. That might get rid of the floaters. I still have not see anyone about this as advised to me by several optometrists saying it was too risky. When I saw Dr Ram. he said my vision was 20/20 although I could not even make out the large first E on the chart. I do not recommend this man. I wish I had the lasiks as I wanted at the beginning and not the cataract surgery which I really did not need. Maybe things would have turned out better.
I had a very high prescription and was unhappy with glasses while my contact lenses were becoming costly. I was recommended by friends and family to get Lasik from Dr. Rom and I couldn't be happier! His professionalism is only outweighed by his courtesy and excellent "bedside manner." My vision is now crystal clear and I can see better then I ever did even with corrective lenses. I would recommend Dr. Rom to anyone who wants to have better clarity in sight!
I urge anyone with vision problem to make an appointment with Dr. Rom. He and his staff are professional, respectful and kind. My surgery to correct my vision exceeded my expectations. I am still amazed at how well and clearly I can see. Thank you, Dr. Rom!!!!!!

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
