Dr Esser literally saved my life. I couldn't be more satisfied with the care & treatment I received from him. His ability to inform & explain procedures equals his compassion and understanding of his patients. I highly recommend Dr Esser if his Specialty is ever needed. He's the best...beyond 5 stars!

A wonderful caring Dr. He is with you during the whole procedure. Giving you all the care and attention you need.

I left his care with 2 types of informed. Misinformed and uninformed.

Poor pain management and lack of empathy. Maybe he should rethink why he went into medicine.

Dr. Esser is a professional and caring physician. He visited me each day I was in the hospital and made sure that I was comfortable. I was home from diverticulitis surgery in two days with minimal discomfort.

Awesome Dr, very friendly and caring for his patients and his staff is also awesome, He is super thorough about what you will be going thru and explained that Yes you Will have post operative pain, for all those leaving comments saying they were in so much pain, What do you expect?? You were cut open and muscles get cut, nerves get cut, it's called surgery, not miracle healing. By far one of the best drs I have ever dealt with and will recommend him to anyone that needs GI help.

Dr Esser sat with me in his office to get to the root of my problem. He explained the procedure to be done and the number of procedures that would be needed to resolve my problem. I went exactly the same amount of visits he calculated and my problems were taken care of. I liked him so well I am referring my daughter there who is now 20 years old. Very nice and staff was very nice.

Dr. Esser, performed a surgical procedure on myself. my wife and I both did not know what the procedure was and what it entailed until after it was done, i.e.. no prior disclosure! I have been suffering for over 2 weeks in extreme pain, with more than 5 phone calls to his office and even had a second trip to the emergency room to get my pain under control. I was blatantly told that there was nothing that they can do to assist me and get my pain under control except going to the emergency room!

I feel that this doctor was deceptive by omission, if full disclosure of how much pain and discomfort comes along with a certain procedure that was performed on me, I would have suffered without the surgery, I do appreciate the doctor as a man and as a physician attempting to make someone's life better, yet at the same time I feel that it is your responsibility as a doctor specifically a surgeon to inform your patients of anything and everything that can go wrong, will go wrong , has gone wrong and how much pain to expect in the following months, there was absolutely no disclosure. The worst part is the pain is so unmanageable that when you call the office and ask for pain meds they tell you, They don't prescribe anything stronger than a standard painkiller and at the same time will verbally confirm that this procedure is one of the most painful! When were in 2016 and there are multiple ways to stop pain by nerve blocks etc... this DR uses a substance used since Alexander the great and even ancient China. With Five nights of no sleep after the procedure and four separate phone calls to the doctor's office along with an additional trip to the emergency room to get my pain under control. Absolutely unacceptable practice of Medicine to allow your patients to be in constant pain and discomfort ,John Hopkins university has done a study that suggests individuals that suffer from pain after a surgical procedure are five times more likely to be diagnosed with PTSD after said procedure." I will not be able to trust another doctor ever again after my experience with this surgeon" I have initiated contact with the board and possible sanctions to follow. Examples need to be made of individuals who perform outside the standard of care.
