Rude doctor. Arrogant. Talks over patient and doesn't listen. Makes patients feel dumb.
Rude doctor. Talks over his patients. Doesn't listen. Makes you feel dumb.
I presented to the ER with excruciating pain emanating from the pubic symphysis. The diagnosis is Osteitis Pubis. This was a particularly bad pain day and since no doctor will prescribe narcotics, on theses terrible days, I am forced to go to the ER in hopes of obtaining some relief. After detailing my injury and diagnosis to the ER nurse and showing her my doctor's notes regarding Osteitis Pubis, she appeared very concerned and I could overhear her speaking to a doctor. He opens the curtain and asks how I am doing. While trying to explain my diagnosis, he interruptes and said just show him where the pain is. I had already told the nurse that I was way to sore to be touched, never mind examined. Osteitis Pubis effects the lower pelvic region, testicles, ect. I tried to explain that the pubic symphysis is injured, causing severe pain. I again told him that he could look, but I know what is causing the pain. When I pointed to my right testical, he arrogantly said, that's a testical. Understand that I am in the ER for excruciating pain. I was sweating, trembling and very anxious. I just looked at him and said, yes that's a testical. My testical. He then said, in a very demeaning way, "I thought you said it was your pubic symphysis". He then said he must do an exam. I again said, you can look, but no touch. He insisted, and said, "I will try to be gentle." I can give you a shot, and a few pills after." I told him "No. I am the patient. I am in severe pain. I have a diagnosis. There us no need to do what will be a very painful, unnecessary exam". He looked at me like I was an idiot. He took of his gloves and with his back to me said, no exam, no pills. This happened two nights ago. I am still very upset. Then a nurse comes in with an altitude and asked me if I wanted to check out. I told her " I need help. I'm in a tremendous amount of pain." She said, " the doctor said you refused treatment." I told her what happened. She says, "So you want to check out?" I left.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
