Dr. Jerry Lynn's Online Review Report Card

Update: I had a several severe asthma attacks this past week, so I called Dr Lynn's office to make an emergency appointment today. I was told by his staff that Dr. Lynn moved to California and only makes teleconference calls with his patients Monday nights. Apparently there is new Dr, but the office would not see me, unless I had a negative Covid test taken recently. I'm disappointed Dr. Lynn's office didn't notify his patients. I told the office this and was told, " Dr. Lynn didn't send out any official notifications ". That seems so unlike Dr. Lynn.

Very unprofessional business. Do not care about personal well being. First hand witnessed special treatment to certain patients when there is no help what so ever to others. For a business that is supposed to care and help support individuals, they do everything besides help. Rude nurses and Doctors who are not even in the state to work. Overall if you are looking for a professional allergist go anywhere besides Dr Jerry Lynn.

I had the same experience as Chad Smith. I was also charged a deductible that was never submitted to the insurance company. When I received my statement from Medicare, the deductible was shown as not having been paid. After several calls to the insurance company, I was told that the Dr's office would refund the money to me. After several weeks, I called the office and was told the check would be going out at the end of the week. We'll see. Is this a practice they do all the time?

Dr. Lynn is great, his front office is the WORST. When I went to book my appointment, they had me call my insurance to see if it was covered and if I had any deductible. Then, they went out of their way to make sure I knew I had to pay that deductible. That’s fine. It was just a bad look that they cared so much about money and so little about healthcare. Not to mention they were just miserable to deal with attitude-wise. But once they took my deductible—they never submitted it to the insurance company. After all the hassle and the miserable time they put me through, they never submitted my deductible! They noted my specialist copayment to insurance, but not the much larger amount the collected. I started getting other bills from Quest, etc. and was confused. I had already paid my deductible. So now I had to go through UPMC, wait for Dr. Lynn’s office to get back to them, then wait for Lynn and co. to snail-mail me a check with what I paid, they collected and never submitted. Then, I have to deposit the check, wait until that clears, and then deal with these unpaid bills that I shouldn’t have had in the first place from Quest. The extra stress on top of needing medical treatment was not welcome in the least. UPMC was fine letting this go on, but I think the front office of Dr. Lynn are the worst kind of people. They forced me to deal with their miserable, lazy attitudes, and then my payment was an extra hassle because they wanted to sit on my money. It’s criminal behavior. How many people never get their checks from Lynn from his front office’s duplicitous habits? If I weren’t willing to go through several phone calls with my insurance, would I ever have gotten my money back? And for the record, Dr. Lynn never did figure out what I was allergic to. Even though that’s not his fault, it’s just icing on the cake of this terrible experience, having it be a ton of hassle for no real benefit. If you have the option, go elsewhere.

Dr Lynn and his staff are amazing! He has saved my life many times. He never gives up until I am better. His staff is so kind and caring. You can't get better care anywhere else!

3 stars for what Dr. Lynn seemed to be...which was not only a phenomenal doctor, which he is but we wouldn't have expected him to discriminate. We are a lesbian couple going there over a year. Out of the blue one day my partner and I were taken into an examination room and told one of us must be wearing a perfume or something. At the time, it was possible after a long day lotion or something we skipped COULD have been on one of us, along with work and all the other places we had been...bus, work, elevator in that building that /ALWAYS/ reeked of cologne, perfume and cigarettes. The hallway smelled as well. So suddenly on the day that a patient glared at the more masculine of the two of us, which happend alot in this part of town. Then then as the patient walked past our door, the nurses rushed to the door even standing in it joking with us (as always), then againg in at one of us. We were sniffed over by Dr. Lynn who then couldn't identify a smell. We let it go and today, two weeks later, I took a shower in unscented soap before going...I DID use hand lotion, coconut on my hands hours before. I get there, the nurse is joking away and friendly. Even goes out of her way to listen to my lungs because my serum was left a week and we thought it might not be good so I told her I had some symptoms I hadn't had since that happened. She leaves says she will ask doc what he wants to do about it. Comes back and says, " the doc wants to see you both in the examination room." And we were again removed from the waiting room. This time , he walks in, says he smells floral. We don't where floral anything and had nothing on us. Coconut doenst even smell that way. He then asks if he can smell me. He smelled my arms, legs, back, hair and neck. Nothing. He said he just can't figure I out. What it is. So, he suggest another "test" putting us in a new room that he says has no smell. We say ok, I said. How about we separate us. Have her go alone. Then me. And we can see who it is. He seemed happy. I went above and beyond to accommodate them and him. Knowing damn well I had nothing on me and he himself couldn't identify it. He comes to get me and has me go in with my partner. We sit together now in the "fresh new smell free room." Later he comes in and as the door is evens swinging open..."I smell it." There was zero change in that room. We were being discriminated against. If you're lgbt , don't bother. Because then his solution was we could call ahead and they would toss chairs in the hallway and get shots outside the door OR as he said be "treated like a cancer patient" and be rushed into a sterile room away from any other people. This is discrimination and I intend to contact the HRC. No one should have to sit in a hallway or be treated like they are diseased because some of these backward nurses have the right to deny care to lgbtq community. Shameful, Dr. Lynn.

Dr. Lynn is awesome. Great doctor. I wish i could say the same for his receptionists. They werr snooty when i asked about my bill.
