List of Laxmi Shah's Reviews
Can not say enough good things about Dr. Laxmi Shah. She is so friendly, observant and truly listens to your concerns. She wants to see your treatment through and makes sure that she explains everything in a way her patient can understand. I would never want to go to another neurologist again!
Dr. Laxmi Shah is a wonderful expert in her field of not listening to the patient. If you would like drugs, she's your go-to doctor of choice. Highly recommend if you want pills to take with no results and someone who just does not care about what is happening to you. You can have ataxia and she will not acknowledge it, make you go get an FCE test, but then clear you to go back to work before you ever get the FCE test she required for you to be cleared to work in the first place. Everything is a migraine. If you try to tell her something is off and not right she will automatically go to drugs and if something is off after that it must be because of the drugs she gave you. You can tell she is a firm believer of 'it's all in your head.' If that sounds like something you'd be interested in hearing over and over again while you're having cognitive/neuro issues, please reach out to her.
Made an appointment a number of months ago for my son, who'd suffered a migraine. Received a call from the office recently, cancelling the appointment because she doesn't see 16 year olds. So why did they accept the appointment in the first place? His age was revealed when the appt was made. Very frustrating and IMO unprofessional, and they offered no referral, nor help in getting a timely referral to a ped neuro. She may well be a good physician, but poor support staff is inexcusable.
My serious symptoms were brushed off first appointment. By serious I mean trouble walking, numb limbs, slurred speech, memory problems, and severe brain fog on and off. I mentioned wanting tested for MS since very symptom seems like it could very well be MS. She said “no, it doesn’t sound like MS” and blamed it on ADD (not the same), anxiety I don’t have, and a VERY slight b12 deficiency. Her answer to “my legs keep collapsing” was “are you taking your b12?” She also scheduled me 4 months out when I am having these symptoms. I am seeing her again soon and giving it one more shot since appts take at least 4 months to get everywhere and I need to figure out what is going on to move on with my life. I would not recommend.
She is a outstanding Dr. Dr.Shah cares about her patient's. She works to try to find out what is wrong with you. I respect her for caring for her patient's. It makes the patient relax alittle and know you have someone on your side that's going to try and help you. She is really a good person.
Very clear and concise.
This doctor was very rude to me and was talking down to me. She said I am the doctor and I know more then you. I informed her I know my body and I deal with chronic migraines 15 times out of 30 days in a month. she told me I din't know what an aura was and that I was making it all up. I let her know what I had taken in the past and she refused to prescribe it. She is a thoughtless doctor. stay away from this place.. find a better doctor who understands.
This doctor was not listening to anything I said, She was talking down to me like I was an idiot and had no knowledge of my conditions. She changed my medication as she was not comfortable at the current dose said I would never find a doctor that would prescribe it that high. She . offered me no help as far as treatment for my migraines I asked her what her reasoning was and she had no answer. I asked her nicely to fill out a form and she refused. I will be getting an second opinion.
Cancels appointments often and is condescending. Leaves you in the dust and does not care about your health
She is horrible. Has no knowledge, does not follow up or return phone calls!

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
