List of Upmc Urgent Care Monroeville's Reviews
Very helpful, kind, and got me in and out in a timely fashion.
I had to show up an hour before closing, after checking in had been about 20m later and even though they were obviously rushed they were very nice and professional. Awesome service and almost half the price of medexpress. Will be coming here for the foreseeable future most likely.
This is my second and last time coming to this Urgent Care. If you're ill and coming there in pain,go to your Dr office. I had to pay my co-pay and not get helped when my pain has increased since Saturday. I was not seeking pain meds, just a steroid pack for a pinched nerve. You would have thought I was seeking a schedule 2 drug. To have a gum chewing PA come with attitude was the last straw. Stephanie was not helpful but told me I could go seek help at my Dr what is urgent care again ??? Clearly a joke. Waste of time, money and gas. Black women please especially avoid this place 1st time when I had another illness they told me ride it out and again the 2nd time since black women are made out bricks and steel, they feel we don't feel pain.
They are useless. I went there because I had severe sore throat. They told me to drink hot tea with honey and wait 10 days. I could not swallow my own saliva and still can’t. Going to to the hospital. Save yourself the trouble and the money and go straight to the hospital
The staff here were amazing and very friendly! The PA was attentive to what I was saying and gave detailed and helpful answers. The xray technician was amazing and made the process very easy! The front desk staff were upfront about pricing and were very patient with me and my questions as well. I came an hour or so before closing and I didn't feel rushed through. All the staff were just very friendly and it helped lessen any anxiety I was feeling. Probably one of the best urgent care experiences I have had.
Very nice caring people. Will go here over med express
When I went there, there were only two of us in the waiting room. I was there because I was struggling to breathe. I had been sick for weeks and was already seen by my primary care. However, that treatment was not effective enough to make me comfortable with my breathing. I couldn't even talk without getting short of breath. I was on the second round of the same antibiotic and steroids, plus an inhaler and OTC meds. Nothing was working. I could take a deep breath in but not get the air out. I sit in the waiting room for at least a half an hour waiting to be seen. The receptionist had answered the phone. I heard her say "steady." I'm assuming someone called to find out how busy it was and if it was a good time to come in. I heard the receptionist say "you may have to wait a while." I wish I would have seen that place only had one star before I went in... Or would not have gone there. I was seen by the physicians assistant, who told me to take a Zyrtec. She said she could give me a different antibiotic however, I had allergies to two antibiotics and she said that doxycycline had the same coverage as the Z-Pak I was already on. I knew better. she told me if I didn't get better to go to the ER. How was I to get better with no effective treatment? I also knew I really needed a breathing treatment. However, when I asked her about it, she said they don't do breathing treatments there for adults, only for Children. It was an absolute waste of time and money. It's no wonder insurance is so high when they are paying for people to not have any treatment. And people think we have the best health care system in the world. Ha! What the physician's assistant didn't know was that I was an RN for 43yrs and I had worked an urgent care prior to moving to this area. Wow what a difference. The urgent care facility I worked at would never have left someone sitting in the waiting room for half an hour struggling to breathe and give no treatment. If someone was having trouble breathing, a nurse was called to go to the waiting room to evaluate the patient and make sure make sure they were OK. The nurse would decide whether they needed immediate treatment or or if the person could safely wait their turn in the waiting room. I saw my PCP three days later. I was given a breathing treatment in the office. I was put on doxycycline, Singulair and given breathing treatments to do at home with the nebulizer. additionally, I was to take over-the-counter medications. Shame on that Physician's Assistant at UPMC urgent care in Monroeville, PA. Oh and the urgent care I had worked at saw about 150+ patients a day.
Consistently terrible. They hire underskilled, underqualified Nurse Practitioners instead of Doctors to save money, and not one single person working here knows how to socialize or speak to customers. They will speak down to you constantly, then they will mess up your worker comp paperwork/billing multiple times leading to long drawn out processes. Go literally anywhere else if you respect yourself in the slightest.
DONOT GO TO THIS FACILITY I am appalled at the service and treatment my wife received at the hands of the nurse practitioner STEPHANIE, at the monroeville office. She was rude, would not look at my wife and refused her the service we were there for. I am NOT a review writer and most things in life i let go because i never know what someone else may be dealing with that day in their own life. HOWEVER LET THIS BE THE FIRST !!! My wife was attempting to get a physical for her Pa. Drivers license, not a cdl not a commercial anything and with that im stynned as is everyone to whom i have spoken with that Pa. Requires a 40 year old woman who has been driving for decades in Maryland to need a physical but that aside. My wife does have high blood pressure and it is managed she is under a doctors care since we found out 3 years ago and she is also quite a nervous person a bit introverted as am i. As are many. But, this STEPHANIE PERSON decided she would treat my wife based on her history rather than her present, as she perusued her medical history, again not even looking at my Wife she decided she was not up to what i can only assume were STEPHANIE'S standards. Her bp was a bit elevated yes, her white coat syndrome was in full effect as STEPHANIE SILENTLY SUCKED THE AIR OUT OF THE ROOM. Then proceeded to let my wife know that she was "so sorry to bust her bubble" but she wasn't going to sign her papers. And would have the money refunded. Dear STEPHANIE what comes around goes around you made my wife cry, you made her feel less than, you are not a good person in my estimation, and should never be allowed to practice medicine again. STEPH, the staff their who were very nice and happy to engage us as humans well they were appalled. I understand this is not the first time you have acted in this manner. I will be following up on this matter further with UPMC and every other appropriate medical board. You do not belong in the medical field.
This is a horrible place, They are quick to charge you 60. dollars, for absolute nothing, My blood pressure was high, told me to go to my doctor. This place is all about the $$$$$. God help you if you end up there.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
