Murrysville Eye Practice received 61.8% positive feedback, with patients praising the friendly staff, doctors' expertise, and child-friendly environment. However, 38.2% of the feedback was negative, primarily citing long wait times, billing issues, and unresponsive office management. Took our 10 month old son to be seen for concern about eyes not tracking together. They were able to get us in quickly (about a week and a half after we called). All of the staff were very friendly. Both Dr. Hughes and the nurses were very great with our baby! The doctor explained everything to us thoroughly and addressed all of our questions and concerns. Very happy with our decision to take him here!
We had the worst experience ever bringing my daughter to her appointment. FRONT DESK IS NOT FRIENDLY I DONT NO WHAT HAPPENED! To the point I ask for the OFFICE MANAGER information his name is Michael and just to let you know he DOES NOT RETURN CALLS!! That says alot right!! The front desk is rude doesn’t greet or smile! MURRYSVILLE location is NOT THE SAME! Only that the Drs are great but STAFF IS HORRIBLE THAT MAKE PATIENTS NOT WANT TO COME BACK!! Office manager doesn’t care either or follow up on calls when there’s a COMPLAINT! He allow the office to run unprofessional!!!
Do not recommend at this time. Unfortunately have been taking both of my children there for years but now they are understaffed and unable to give good care. My son went for contact lense appointment but they can’t see him until next year to get him in for contact class fitting hence unable to give prescription. Unreal. This information needs to be given ahead of time. No other practice I can find wants to take the liability without another full exam which I guess I need to pay out of pocket for. Tried contacting their other location and they refused us as well. So disappointed and frustrating. .
In seeing these reviews, I realize my concerns were valid. I tried to make an appointment becuase my teen is having issues with his eyes. I spoke with Michael, the office manager. He made it clear that the doctors prioritize payment over patient care. He refused to make a future appointment because he would not call to confirm our insurance. He doesn't make calls, he told me. Then he said to find somewhere else. He said he has the right to refuse service. He went on to ask for my son's name so that they could reject him we tried to make an appointment again. The experience told me everything I needed to know about this office.
Very friendly professional place they work really well with my special needs son
I’ve been bringing my daughter to the murrysville office location since she was around 5 years old. I love all the doctors /staff the office is very professional. Now that my daughter is a preteen she’s considering contact lenses, first and foremost it took 5 months to get this appointment because this office is always scheduling out. So at her appointment she get her exam but since she want contact lenses we have to schedule to come back which is another month out because she have to complete classes at that which is 100 bucks that’s not covered by insurance. I never heard such a thing so my daughter still have to wait and wait for contacts . This is crazy , expensive and uncalled for . I’ve called a couple eye doctor offices and there’s no fee ofcoarse will have to pay for another exam because our insurance covers 1 every year. I would not recommend this office if your considering contact lenses please go where there’s no class fee most offices there’s no class fee anyway and on top of that this office is booking out another month for the class
Best doctor ever
I wish they would answer their phone. If you want to work with someone who you can reach over the phone, look elsewhere.
Everybody here was great. My 1yr old scratched her cornea on a Sunday, so I wasnt expecting much luck with trying to get an eye apt as a new client on a Monday morning. The front desk ladies were great with getting us set up and my baby looked at by Monday afternoon. The nurse, Maddy, and Dr. Pav were great with her. Really appreciate what everyone did for us. Hopefully we won't need them again, but I'm glad they're there if we do.
I like straight forward people who could sugar-coat advice, but don't. Dr. Pav will say to you what other physicians won't say, and that's 5 stars in my book.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
