Went to the ER because my hand was bitten by a dog and cause me to bleed. The nurses and doctors were very professional. Got my rabies shots. Very painless.

Waited 3 and a half hours just waiting for x-rays I won't be coming back here

jameson penitentiary is the worst hospital I’ve ever been in. Unfortunately I was active in sports and have had over fifteen surgeries that required surgery. Plus stricken with colitis, this being the third instance that made me involved in this joke of a hospital. Four back surgeries in the last three years at Pittsburgh facilities which were great. I won’t let one bad hospital drag upmc down with it. I went in the ER on Tuesday night with a fever and stomach pains. As soon as treatment started, I could tell it was a bad hospital. They never asked for a list my medications so they could replace them during my stay. I let them know I wasn’t pleased how they treated me. I may have swore to get my point across which was totally uncalled for on my part but I was diagnosed with colitis, stomach ulcers and pneumonia. I apologized but since I swore they were going to keep me in the er overnight for punishment. That went over real well. I asked to be discharged at that point. They came in and told me if I didn’t come in when I did, I would be dead. Scare tactics!!! So I stayed to my detriment. They put me on the second floor. The nurses I had were terrible, and the other nurses don’t belong in the same group as these terrible nurses, thank God. There was good nurses there too. Thursday I asked to be discharged and 10 minutes later they had discharge papers for me to sign which were two pages of discharge papers. That’s it. Every other time I’ve been discharged it’s been an hours long process and I’ve been discharged a lot. So I’m waiting for a my neighbor to come pick me up. She came at 10 o’clock and was in the lobby and called me and said that they said I’m not there. And then she comes back at two and the same thing happens. I went out to the nurses station and said my rides been here the second time today and I need a wheelchair so I could be discharged. I was told the wheelchair would be coming. When it didn’t come and I asked about it, they said that’s not their department. So I knew I was not gonna get any help from them. Thank God a human being nurses aide walked past and I asked her for a walker so I could be discharged. She said why don’t you want a wheelchair? I told her they said it wasn’t their department to get a wheelchair. Five minutes later here comes the wheelchair. Thanks to that wonderful nurses aide whose name I don’t know but I will never forget her face. Thank you whoever you are. God bless America and the rest of the world to.

Absolutely love this hospital..I don't understand why it's only got 2 stars..staff is amazing and very welcoming, along with all the nurses and doctors. They make sure you are comfortable and check in on you regularly to make sure you are ok..I won't go anywhere else ever again..thank you Jamison ER

Let’s see so we have …. A loooong list of names included in this but floor 200 (2200 unit) and the ER here absolutely rocks My stint with Type II diabetes has unfortunately left me in the hospital many times. This team has coached, guided, mentored, and held my hand through every step of transitioning to insulin and managing my care. My emotional state, my entire life, rests in the hands of these talented nurses and staff members and they kind of… re-jump started my faith in humanity. I hope to be able to like… see these folks grow and take over administration and running of other hospitals. The doctors here are 1 star but the hospital itself is full of amazing people. I kind of see them as family now

I worked in a hospital for 20 yrs. The quality or care, or lack there of is a crying shame. Greed is the only reason for a 2.0 rating score! Pitiful, just absolutely pitiful. Hire back house keeping to work 24/7... Get back Cna's to work 8 hr shifts 24/7. Have a nurse for q 3 pts. That way documentation and be completed properply. Ya'll down to the bare minimal, at the patients expense! Sad, really sad.

Went in with an extremely high fever and could barely breathe and they left me sit in the waiting room for 6 hours, never checking on how I was. The wait in this trash hospital is unreal. I realize there was a pandemic. But they need to expand their emergency wing of the hospital. I'm sure UPMC has the money. Places like this get the corporate mentality, and health care goes out the window.

Went to emergency after a butcher dentist did terrible teeth removal job ,they where very helpful and understanding, soooo much pain ,.thank u so much, u guys where great 👍
