They office and medical staff are all extremely friendly and helpful. They are quick to answer any question you might have both medically and working through insurance and paperwork issues.

I was impressed at my first impression of this practice and my continued treatment here can only be described as professionally compassionate, let alone state of the art. I'm so glad I choose The Papillon Center and after talking with other patients prior to any treatment, I knew to expect such. And still they impress. Even the waiting room is calming, and the staff is exceptional. They know what they're doing, clearly.

Terrible expirance, stay away

Was looking here for surgery, but was told I’m too obese to have even a consult, and that being “fat” has the potential to negatively impact recovery. I’m over 6 foot, run half marathons and am an athlete (Aussie football). If the staff is trying to accurately welcome us to womanhood by making us hate our bodies (I was asked to drop almost a quarter of my body weight, much of which is muscle), then they nailed it. They canceled my consultation because I disagreed with the entire concept of BMI as garbage science. People who are athletic tend to have a higher percentage of lean muscle mass and a lower percentage of fat mass than the average population. These factors can throw a wrench in their BMI measurements. They often measure in the overweight category (or higher) despite having great overall health. A great example of this is Tom Brady. Anyway.. don’t recommend a place that judges you before even meeting you.

I have been incredibly pleased with the entire process start to finish. The staff is incredibly communicative, my results are exactly what I was looking for, and the aftercare has been excellent.

I initially was considering Dr. McGinn for top surgery because years ago when I worked for Lower Bucks Hospital I had learned of her being a trans doctor and offering reaffirming surgery. At the time this was a big deal. So now I am finally able to get top surgery and decided to contact her office. I scheduled a consult that was months away, had phone conversations to make sure I was a good "fit" and had to pay the consultation fee up front. I had an uneasy feeling about these things and the fact she doesn't take insurance but still wanted to consider her. I ended up getting in with another doctor for a consult, who's fees were way more reasonable then Dr. McGinn, her requirements for surgery made more sense, she does take insurance and if I had cancelled in adequate time I would be refunded. As most dr's do. I also was able to get surgery scheduled in a timely fashion. And she was a down to earth human. So I cancelled my consult with Dr. McGinn to be reminded that even though it was weeks prior it was non-refundable. I am out $150 for nothing. It bothers me because a. most of us aren't made of money, b. it is taking advantage of people especially the trans community c. it is elitist. I suppose it was my mistake for assuming just because she offered services ahead of a lot of other doctors, doesn't make her a hero or a saint, nor does her being a part of the trans community. I am glad I am not having surgery done by her and hope she can come down from her throne long enough to perhaps consider being a little more humble.

When things go RIGHT, she is excellent. HOWEVER; when there are problems of complications she is less than professional and has proven to be less than interested in addressing or making any effort to correct the issues. She has abandoned patients with complications to fend for themselves.

Everything with McGinn is great UNTIL you have a problem. Easy to be great at your profession until such time as there is a complication with the surgery. Neither she nor her staff would address the problem which required surgery by another surgeon to correct. Poor follow up and concern for problems.

I had my GCS with doctor McGinn just last week and the whole process has been smooth as ever. The nurses and the staff at the office are very kind and incredibly helpful throughout the whole process and I am very happy with the results.
