List of Kathleen Mullen's Reviews
Dr. Kathleen Mullen took exceptionally good care of my 6 year old son. Very careful and patient. I am highly recommending her.
Absolutely terrible experience. She is rude and so is her staff. Beth is a particular failure
Dr. Mullen smelled of alcohol when I took my daughter for an early morning appt. Our wait time was ridiculous! I would never return to her office, she doesn't know how to deal with children. She should change careers! The front office receptionist was very rude to make the situation worse.
My experience with this doctor was similar to the other posts. I was on time waited at least 1 hour until someone brought us back. And all we did was listen while the doctor talked and talked and talked. I figured this office out, not enough staff and the doctor is knowledgeable but can not work efficiently without putting more staff in place and talking less. In general Dr. Mullen is a nice person and she seems very experienced but she needs to invest in her staff. Also in the Gilbertsville office there is no one to greet you at all not a very welcoming environment to come to.
I arrived 20 minutes early like I was told to fill out paperwork. My son has a cavity and I was told he would need x rays and than the appointment would take 45 minutes. After waiting 30 minutes I asked the rude receptionist when we would be seen and she said it would be a few more minutes. Finally I told her we would leave if they didn't take him soon because he had to go to school. She finally told the doctor and he was taken for the x rays. than we waited for another 30 minutes and never even met the doctor. I said I had to leave now and the receptionist said that will be $85. I almost hit her! I asked what for since the x rays were covered by insurance and she said it was for the exam. I informed her that no one had seen my son in the hour and a half that we were there. After she realized that I wasn't paying, they said they would let it go. I called to see what was going on and they have never called back. Worst experience ever!
One of the worst office visits I have had. Being a pediatric dentist you think she would understand children. Not so. I was in the office for an hour and did not even get to see the dentist. Only saw the hygienist. When I informed then I had to leave to pick my son up from school, I was told oh the doc will be in with you in a min (after an hour being in the office) 10 min later no doc. When I insisted I had to leave I was told by the receptionist "Oh well if you weren't late it wouldn't have taken this long and it was your first visit. I don't know what time zone they run on, but I was on time. After an hour in the office and not seeing the doc I really didn't expect to be treated this way. Especially when I was not being difficult. I just told them I needed to leave and wanted to pay my co-pay. I am not taking my daughter back.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
