I couldn't have asked for a better Doctor with wonderful, professional, and caring staff. Always available to helping and taking care of his parents about any concerns they may have. Dr. Hornickle is one the best if not the best family Doctor in PA.

Dr. Hornickle is a terrific doctor! He is extremely knowledgeable and explains why he recommends his treatment plans. His staff is so bad, they are absolutely horrendous! Never have I encountered such laziness and incompetence! The receptionist is rude, complaining that she is too busy to do her job and the nurse has absolutely zero empathy for people who are suffering. It’s a real shame! Dr. Hornickle deserves better!

Awful. The woman that answers the phone is definitely trying to discourage new patients. Donna I believe was the name she used. When you call, she immediately starts to turn you off by telling you new patients aren’t being seen for months. Ridiculous. I work in a medical office and there is always NP appts left open so you don’t make them wait. This is not the Drs office to go to if you are a new patient looking for a check up once a year. Maybe it used to be but they do not want you now. Keep looking.

Dr. Hornickle has been my physician for nearly 15 years. He is not only knowledgeable and professional, but has a unique kindness and attentiveness that sets him apart from many other doctors. If he is taking new patients, I highly recommend you and your family members seek his care.

Dr. Hornickle is an incredibly skilled and knowledgeable doctor who treats his patients with compassion and dignity. If you want a family doctor who you can trust, he is the guy. His staff are also highly competent and understanding. This guy embodies the classic, old-fashioned, caring family doctor. I can't recommend him highly enough. When you have a problem that standard treatments don't fix, he will not hesitate to recommend a good specialist immediately. Contrast this to other Drs who will throw pills at you randomly without regard for side effects and often make your condition worse. Dr. H is appropriately cautious in his handing out of strong and/or dangerous drugs, so junkies should not waste their time here.

When I was looking for a PCP I wanted one that can make his choices without being influenced by the hospital. Working in Healthcare and seeing how Hospitals demand a provider to modify his/hers course of treatment was of a huge concern. I found that Dr Hornickle is true to his profession and calling to provide proper care to his patients. He later went with Penn Health (vs TowerHealth), which is a great choice given current developments in HC system.
