He's a concerned doctor who will take the time to explain everything to you and discuss your questions.

Dr. Harkins argued with me to the point he was raising his voice, that I had arthritis and it was the cause of something I had going on. I tried explaining to him I did not have arthritis, he would not listen. An MRI and a real doctor proved I had no arthritis. Dr. Harkins refused to fill a script for synthroid, when my insurance changed, with no warning and no time to find another doctor. That is bona fide patient abandonment and is illegal. Stay away from this quack.

Dr. Harkins is an awesome doctor. Very friendly and takes time talking to you and explaining things. He is very dedicated to his profession and concerned about his patients. He even called me at home on a Sunday to check on me. I don't know any other Dr. who does this. I've been going to him for years and I have always considered him a #1 doctor.

Dr. Harkins is one of a dying breed, like the era of Marcus Welby gave us. He is attentive, helpful, and offers practical advise. To the person who said they came in with chest congestion and were treated for sinusitis, that makes sense! The staff is always super friendly, and you never have to wait more than 5 or 10 minutes for apt, usually 5 minutes. At first he was my daughter's doc, but after seeing how terrific he is, he is now my doc too.~~~ Maria Dorval - Lake Wynonah, PA.
