I went to see Dr Popescu a few years ago and I will NEVER go back to the Penn Spine center He ordered an MRI I had several over the years for sciatica pain and several injections and when the report came out he told me that it does not show anything and that it is all in my head I now have osteoporosis in my lumbar vertebrae and 4 fractures trying to figure out why. Since we ruled out blood disorders this suspicion is now falling into the numerus Cortizone injections that perhaps have leaked the material to the surrounding bones

Dr Popescu is an understated wry miracle worker. I have degenerative bone disease I am wheeled into his office and I WALK out he is a light of hope for patients who have serious pain issues and dont think life is worth living. Pain is so disspiriting the doctor just injected my knee this morning there are no words to describe the elation of less pain. Thank you Dr. Popescu

I found Popescu to be rude and condescending. He does not listen to his patience and gives you the sense he really doesnt care . I will never go back to him nor recommend him . Prima donna with bad manners.

To my own detriment Dr. Popesu is BUSY enough already Ive recommended him to three friends who need a human miracle performed on their spine... That Im walking is because of him. Hes my net as my spine will continue to disintegrate because thats the illness my gratitude is indescribable.

Dr. Popescu is a over confident doctor. Told me he has never had a complication a number of times. I found him to be unprepared and in a rush the day of my injection in my spine. He was rude to everyone around him. On follow up he was rude and condescending telling me I was born with this injury even though I experienced this injury a year earlier. The MRI said new findings since 2015. I would not recommend him to anyone. Either he lost his compassion or never had it

Dr. Popescu is hands down THE BEST He’s the only reason that I was able to avoid neurosurgery for a serious buldging disc. His bedside manner is incredible but more then anything he fixed my pain with his Cortisone injections. I went from having the worst nerve pain that I never imagined existed to being pain free for 4 months since. He’s accurate precise and I would recommend him to all. I’ll be forever greatful for his help.

We were very unhappy with Dr. Popescues response time. Consult was very short. Told us to schedule for a procedure. No real explanation was given. We had to ask for a diagnosis. Injection given. No follow up by Doctor or his office. Patient sufferering from acute pain. He was disappointing.
