List of Anish Koka's Reviews
The office used to be so great, unfortunately since covid the professionalism haven’t been the same. Dr.Koka is the owner of the practice.Dr. Roseili my primary care gave me a script for a mammogram but since I was young wasn’t able to get any apt. Ok, well as I explained to office servals times, about not able to get an apt, they advise for ultrasound. I spoke with servals Doctors and they advise mammogram is needed because of my family history. I had a very difficult time to schedule the apt, I ask the front desk will they be able too help They choose not to help, advise I should just do the ultrasound & I’ll get the same result. First and foremost no one whose not a doctor should be telling you what to do especially with family history of cancer. They was very unprofessional, Spoke with Dr. Koka very rude and just laugh while I was explaining my concerns, told me I should go find a new care physician. Honestly, after today I will and never come back.Just disrespectful, nasty-attitud
I went to see Dr. Koka after I was referred by my primary care physician for chronic leg pain and recurring numbness in my arms. I was excited to figure out what’s wrong after 30 years of mystery! Dr. Koka took that joy away from me. After waiting for an hour in the very packed, very small waiting room, I was invited to sit in an exam room where Dr. Koka came in, talked at me for 4 minutes and performed a circulation (?) test. It was normal. He never asked my history. He didn’t look into what my primary care physician wanted me to have done. He didnt seem to care. Instead, he told me he doesn’t perform testing on young, healthy adults like myself. Except.. he didn’t know if I was healthy. He never asked. Instead, when I told him I had chronic undiagnosed pain for 30 years he said “your story isn’t strong enough” and sent me on my way. I was charged $250 for a visit that made me cry in the elevator as I left and for a doctor to assume I had a pill addiction and wanted narcotics.
Staff at this office had recommended a psychiatrist to me because I've been trying to find one. At my last visit when it came up, I explained to the nurse that I could not afford to see that particular doctor as they were not covered by insurance and an appointment would be $400, and how I preferred to see someone in-network if possible. Dr. Koka entered the room and, instead of understanding that patients have different needs & it is important to express them when seeking resources, he told me that "Psychiatrists need to pay rent too." I was totally flabbergasted and felt as if I had somehow offended the staff. To be honest I was afraid I was going to cry. I felt uncomfortable and condescended to. Sure psychiatrists have to pay rent but that day I had $50 in my account and was trying to figure out if I could get a ride to donate plasma for money. It is discouraging enough to live that way but then to try to find healthcare where your conditions are respected is its own battle.
Dr. Koka is a great doctor in every way— he is knowledgeable, skilled and he also listens. He helped me greatly with Atrial Fibrillation. Highly recommended!
We met Dr Koka in intensive care at Jefferson after my husbands stroke a year and a half ago. He and his staff are the most caring & efficient. He has gotten my husband out of AFIB and Gives encouraging words and support along with his award winning skills! Along with Dr Koka, Andy, Deneen, Michelle go out of there way to make you feel like a valued patient! The caring atmosphere is second to none! We highly recommend Dr Koka and his team! Thank you all for taking such good care of my husband! Ilene & Jim Matthews
My Husband had a stroke 1 1/2 yrs ago. He was air lifted to Jefferson, Phila PA. Dr Anish KOKA was the Dr assigned to him in intensive care! We BOTH go to him now! HE and his staff are Caring, Kind, very thorough!!!! He is hands on! Danine & Melissa are always accessible! And Andy is right there when you need him... EXCELLENT is an understatement!!! Dr Koka is a fabulous Dr and is keeping my husband alive! He implemented techniques that no other Dr wanted to do on him!! I started seeing him once I saw what he did for my husband! Run, don’t walk to this DR... he is a life saver in our opinion!
Started having palpitations and was able to get a next day appointment with Koka. He got me an electronic Holter monitor and I was all cleared in just about ten days. Pretty quick, easy experience in my opinion. Also, Andy his RN is awesome.
Anish Koka is a decent doctor in terms of diagnosing and listening to a patient. Unfortunatley, his manners, his attitude, and his office staff's attitude is the most atrocious experience I've had in the medical industry. I took my fiance to an appointment with Koka after he passed out while driving in November of 2018. The ER doctors suggested seeing a cardiologist just to be safe. When we saw him, Koka was very pleasant and helpful. We told him that my fiance had a sleep study scheduled for January as that was the earliest appointment we could get. He alternatively suggested an in home test that he said he would order for us and get to us in 2 weeks. Months went by with us following up with his office staff, who at first said they didn't know and would call back, then said they never placed the order. We finally got the in home test in January, sent it back within 3 days, and waited for results. Again, several weeks went by until we finally called Koka's office and then they gave us
Dr. Koka is our family cardiologist. He cares for four members of our family. He has literally saved the lives of my husband and daughter. He is kind, caring, knowledgeable and up to date on technology that other doctors are not. He promptly responds to phone calls or emails. I like that he performs his own EKG, Echo Cardiograms and stress tests right in his office, no waiting for days for results. He explains and answers questions so we understand exactly what is going on. Wonderful doctor!
I work for a large practice that routinely refers patients to Dr. Koka. As such, I've sent plenty of friends and acquaintances to see him. I recently booked an appointment to see him for a nagging issue (occasional palpitations), and so far, I don't regret any of my referrals. The office staff is efficient, his RN, Andy, is great and appointments are easy to come by. Dr. Koka himself seems to be a smart, straight to the point diagnostician. At this point in my workup, I'm very pleased with my selection. (Also hoping I have no additional experience with the office after I get rid of this Holter monitor next week!)

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
