Anthony Infantolino Md's Online Review Report Card

It starts with me. It starts with me sharing a negative experience in hopes that the office staff for Dr. Infantolino have better training in how to put patients first. I was scheduled to have an endoscope procedure at 10am today, July 12. Yesterday at 3:10 pm, I received an email via MyChart that I had a pre payment of $1,283.67 due at time of service. I called the front office and was told, that amount was correct and I needed to pay that before the procedure. Confused because I had the same procedure done in March at another Jefferson and the cost was substantially less. I was put through to billing and told again that was my upfront cost but to make it less, they can look to getting my procedure done at a surgical center. My scheduled procedure was to be cancelled and someone would call me to reschedule at the surgery center. Not once in those 2 conversations did ANYONE tell me that I could do a payment plan. Money was put ahead of treatment for my Barrett's Esophagus. Two people did try to rectify the situation, a surgical scheduler and an office manager. Unfortunately it came at 7pm and I had already put myself back on my work schedule as to not waste a PTO day for a procedure I was not having. They did offer help with payment plans ,etcetera. Today, at 9:15 am, Jefferson called asking where I was!! Again, I had to explain that the appointment was cancelled because I was told by 2 people that if I did not have the pre -payment I could not have the procedure. This stress and my tears started all over again... thank you! Dr. Infantolino is the best doctor in the area for the condition that I suffer with. This is not against him but his staff that did not stop and offer help. The staff that prioritized money and not treatment.

Although I feel Dr Infantalino is a very competent gastroenterologist, getting an call answered is almost impossible. I have called the office many times in the past week while in pain and have waited over 20 minutes before finally hanging up!! Very frustrating. I am now in search of a new Dr.

Stupendous, talented, outstanding physician who really helped my mother with her Barrett's Esophagus. She participated in ablation procedures which eradicated the issue and enabled her not to develop the adenocarcinoma that her other family members had previously endured.

I have seen Dr Infantolino for over 20 years. He is a superior gastrointestinal physician who takes the time to explain my condition, answer questions thoroughly, performs surgical procedures expertly, and with all that is also gracious. Due to his diligence and screening recommendations he caught something that could quickly turn into a malignancy. The entire Jefferson staff from the minute you walk through the door is fantastic.

Dr Infantolino and the entire Jefferson staff are excellent. I have been a patient of Dr Infantolino for over 20 years. Due to results of test results I have had many colonoscopies. The last one was especially tricky since the type of polyp is difficult to find. Thanks to Dr Infantolino’s diligence and expertise it was caught before a malignancy could develop. Doctor Infantolino always takes time either during office visits or after surgery to explain the details and answer any questions. I am grateful for his extraordinary expertise and graciousness.

Very difficult experience. Test results indicating severe disease were not communicated in time, symptoms were not taken seriously, questions not answered and no perspective or support for a difficult health issue provided.

Guidance on disease management, prognosis and expectations completely missing.

Dr Infantalino and the Jefferson staff are great! I have had many procedures up and down, no issues afterward, like it never even happened. Highly recommended.

The four stars in my review are for the doctor and the nursing staff. As for the administrative part, ie., ease of appt., promptness of office staff, taking of info...Jefferson Hosp. left a lot to be desired. Be that as it may, Dr. Infantolino was great! He and the nursing staff in the Endoscopy unit were prompt, courteous, encouraging, and made me feel that I needn't worry about a thing. During my colonoscopy, Dr. Infantolino accomplished what no other doctor had been able to do in 30 years, and I am grateful for that.

Had to wait quite a while to get an appointment, but certainly worth the wait. I was very impressed by Dr. Infantolino's balance of expertise while also listening to my concerns and having compassion.
