I’ve been treated for three years and had two surgeries with Dr Dodson. As an athlete it was important for me to find someone who cared about my health and getting me back to the sport I loved

Dr. Dodson came highly recommended. Every time I asked someone about a good knee surgeon, Dr. Dodson’s name came up. I can say from first hand, he lived up to his reputation!!! I was so nervous about my knee surgery but it was a breeze. I literally had no pain after surgery. After two days I didn’t need the crutches or any pain medicine. Dr. Dodson works miracles. He certainly lived up to his reputation. I would choose Dr. Dodson again!!!

After two separate injuries and a fair amount of wear and tear, I tore the labrum in my left shoulder. I'm a yoga teacher, so the prospect of surgery keeping me out of my physical practice for several months while I recovered was scary enough, but the thought of my practice being permanently altered was even worse. I showed the first surgeon I went to a photo of myself in one of my favorite yoga poses (both to do and to teach) and he told me getting back to weight bearing in that range of motion would be impossible. I decided that wasn't acceptable and sought a second opinion, and eventually I found Dr. Dodson. Dr. Dodson looked at the same photo and told me that although it might take a year, I'd absolutely get back to that level of practice if I was willing to be patient and put in the work. One year almost to the day after my surgery, and, for the first time in 12 months, I was able to get into that pose I showed him the first day we met—pain free and with stability. I appreciated Dr. Dodson's confidence and his compassion through this whole process, and while I hope to never see him again I will absolutely refer him to others in need of shoulder surgery.

Dr Dodson is the best orthopedic surgeon around. I trusted him with my daughter’s knee surgery and he went above and beyond to ensure she was taken care of from consultation through post op. Dr Dodson takes the time to explain to you everything you need to know, and continuously makes sure every question you may have is answered. I am grateful for Dr Dodson and the Rothman orthopedic staff members for taking stellar care of my daughter.

I was injured a year prior to stepping foot into Rothman Orthopaedics in Bryn Mawr. I was still having a lingering issue from a fall while jogging and needed a second opinion. I asked around for a referral and was told about Dr. Dodson. I left my consultation with him impressed. He was very professional and personable, he did not push surgery but gave me space to decide if it was the best option for me, and his experience getting professional athletes back on the field/court appelaed to me because it gave me the confidence he could get me back where I was prior to injury. I am 5 weeks post op from having surgery on a 100% tear in my rotator cuff and a dislocated bicep. Dr. Dodson's precision surgical skill and his ability to identify the right nerve block for my surgery has caused me to have a nearly pain free process. I definitely recommend Dr. Dodson and Rothman Orthopaedic for your orthopaedic needs. I am on the road to being better, stronger, faster!????

Dr. Dodson has a ton of experience with ACL reconstructions, and it was great to speak to someone who's seen it all. I had a ton of questions to ask, some of them fairly long and detailed, and Dr. Dodson addressed everything I asked him in our first consultation, then returned my call after I called his office with a few follow-up questions. His willingness to explain things has helped me feel much more confident about my upcoming surgery.
