Up until the day of right eye surgery by Christopher Rapuano I had mild difficulty seeing driving at night because pupil would dilate into cornea scarring (Salzmann's). Vision was very good wearing prescription eyeglasses and night vision issue was non-serious. The day after surgery that included laser was horrendous. At six-week checkup, vision was horrendous. I thought this was normal. He told me that I had a retina "macular pucker". No longer could I see the letters on eye chart at checkups. What I thought was temporary WAS NOT. He said he did not "do" retinas, "only corneas." I would have hoped he would understand complications that might happen to the retina with his surgery, before I opted to agree to the non-required surgery by him. Since surgery at Wills Eye Hospital, my right eye vision is still HORRIBLE. Prescription lens changes do not help. At one point, I could not see the large E on the eyechart. Be incredibly careful having surgery with this doctor.

Doctor is great. Staff is horrible. They will not notify you if your appointment has been moved or cancelled which is extremely frustrating, considering I’m an hour and a half away from the hospital

Dr Rapuano was very thorough and informative. He took his time and was genuinely concerned. My appt. Was at the end of the day and he made sure that every one of my questions was answered. His staff were very friendly as well.

When I was referred to him, I only could see light and dark with my left eye. After his treatment, my vision returned. Although I still have a scar on my cornea, after getting cataract surgery, my vision is now 20/20. He is a wonderful doctor, very friendly. I couldn't imagine a better doctor.
