Doctor Chen really cares and you can tell right away that he is passionate about his profession and only wants to do what is best for you. He "really listens" and treats you with kindness. He has the many years of experience, with a past history including teaching and research. This was the expertise that I was looking for to give me the best chance. He explained carefully his plan and the steps required. He was going to remove my cancer and than by using his blue light technology to screen and check the surrounding area for additional cancer. Than treat the whole area to help prevent a reoccurrence which is common for the cancer that was removed. I was told from another surgeon that this cancer will continue to come back and expect a repeat every 3 month. It's been a year and so far no reoccurrence. Thank you Doctor Chen, thank you so much for being such a great doctor!

I recently had a prostate cancer biopsy performed by Dr. Chen, which was my first experience with him. He had excellent bedside manner prior to my procedure. He called me as promised with the results one week later. He explained the findings in an easy way to understand. He really made me feel comfortable, and that my case was as important as any despite its lack of severity at this time. He has a great background and tremendous experience treating urological cancers. Equally important, he is very very patient friendly.

I've been a patient for almost two years and could not be more satisfied with the treatment I've received. Dr. Chen is a caring, friendly, and sincere physician in whom I have complete confidence. He and his entire staff, both medical and clerical, are always courteous, patient, and welcoming.

Hearing you have prostate cancer is certainly not news any of us want to get. I don’t mind saying that I was really scared when I got the news. The first call I made was to Fox Chase where I met Dr. Chen. Dr. Chen was able to collect all the necessary records from my doctors, hospitals, etc. and was very prepared for my consultation, which was thankfully only days after my biopsy. Dr. Chen has a great bedside manner, and I 1000% appreciate his confidence and expertise. Dr. Chen took the time and explained the procedure, side effects, and what life would look like in the coming months. Dr. Chen and everyone at Fox Chase knows and understands what you’re going through. Just as an example during my initial consultations, one of the nurses could tell I was scared. I remember her saying to me “this is something you’re living with, not something you’re dying from.” That really changed my thinking. I’m 3 months post prostatectomy now and doing great! I spent one night in the hospital with no post-op issues. No incontinence issues at all, and “the nerves” were spared. Latest PSA is <0.04. Dr. Chen, his staff, nurses, and the entire Fox Chase team are World-Class!

Dr Chen has a gift for making people feel comfortable talking about a difficult subject. He is a good listener, responds to questions in a very direct way and in terms you can understand. Most importantly, his skills and experience as a surgical oncologist have proved to be very effective.
