Dr Bruce Hoffman's Online Review Report Card

Writing this review is a full circle moment for me because I remember reading them before I made the leap to see Dr Hoffman. It was the words of the patients before me that gave me hope that change was possible. When I showed up to Dr Hoffman’s office in July 2020 my body was extremely sensitive. I wasn’t able to find a practitioner that was able to give me diagnosis or path toward healing. Even when I received my diagnosis (primarily mold toxicity, MCAS and POTS) I was incredibly skeptical that his plan would work because I hadn’t found anything that had worked in the past. Thankfully it did work and I am so grateful for the support of Dr Hoffman and his staff. Every single one of them was involved in my healing journey and I couldn’t have healed without their support. I’m now on a maintenance program and feel great. I’m able to show up in my life again and there’s no better gift. ❤️

Dr. Hoffman is truly one of a kind. I came to see Dr. Hoffman after years of struggling with what I now know is Mast Cell Activation Syndrome. All the doctors that I visited before him made me feel like I was crazy, and wanted me to believe that all my symptoms were in my head. Their solution was to prescribe me drugs for something they were unable to even diagnose. Dr Hoffman was the first doctor that actually listened to me, he spent 2 and a half hours with me taking a history, and for the first time in my life I felt seen and heard by a doctor. Not only did he validate that my symptoms were not in my head, he gave be a clear treatment roadmap. Dr. Hoffman gave me hope, and he also gave me my life back. After only a few months of treatment I fell like my old self again. I feel so grateful that I found Dr. Hoffman. I would recommend Dr. Hoffman over any physician in the world. He is a world class physician and I will be forever grateful that I found him. Thank you for giving me my life back!

Dr. Hoffman is fantastic. He has such a broad knowledge of the hardest chronic diseases to treat. He seems to only deal with the problems no other doctor can handle. I find him and his staff to be absolutely amazing. He knows his stuff and his staff always answer your questions right away. It is a great honor to work with him and his skilled staff.

Dr. Hoffman was a tremendous help to my mother with her chronic leukemia and she has held it at bay and actually reversed some of the blood counts. The common sense approach using all types of medical disciplines dealt with the root cause of the issue and improved basic health at the same time. The added understanding of dental issues with my mom's 6 root canals and how much they affected her health was amazing a d would have not been considered anywhere else. Nothing was ever promised and it depends on how you value your own health as to how much you want to invest in it and yourself.

Dr Hoffman is a highly skilled diagnostician who cut to the core of my battle with chronic Lyme disease and serious respiratory problems. I saw him after I had exhausted many medical resources and other skilled medical personnel. I can say without exaggeration that he gave me back my life and I will always be grateful to him. He showed me an unexpected level of kindness and concern and I would have no hesitation in recommending him to my people in my circle especially those struggling with chronic, long-standing problems.

Dr. Hoffman is a genius medical detective. I came to see him after struggling with chronic Lyme disease and mold illness for over a decade, and after visiting over a dozen different medical doctors. I started seeing Dr. Hoffman at age 32 after 3 years of experiencing arthritis in my spine. After going through Rheumatology and becoming more sick from medicine trials, I decided to find my own way as I felt I wasn't being heard. I stumbled into funtional medicine by way of Dr. Hyman's podcast and then realised one of the top functional medicine doctors was here in Calgary. I paused my treatment plan while pregnant, but back on track and already feeling a lot better. Some people have commented that it's "just supplements and IVs" but supplements have made the greatest impact on my wellness thus far. It's so tailored to your specific body and down to the cellular level. I have had a very good experience with Dr. Hoffman but I also am willing to work hard for my health. If you are committed to doing what it takes, he's the doctor to help you get there. If you want an easy fix, I'd say it would be worth it to work on your mindset first, before investing time and money with Hoffman.

A phenomenal physician and true artist in the field of functional medicine, Dr. Hoffman is the only person to see when dealing with chronic complex health symptoms. I arrived to my initial consultation one year ago, 25 years old and feeling dismal about my future. Doctors had dismissed my complex symptoms since early childhood, which put me into a traumatic tailspin of suffering silently. In fact, I became a Nutritionist to try and save myself when nobody else could. I’d convinced myself that I had to do this on my own, which of course didn’t get me very far. When I called the Hoffman Centre to inquire, Justine (expert nutritionist), was the first voice I encountered. Within 5 minutes of speaking, I was ready to book my flight from Ontario. If her immediate understanding of my case was any indicator of the experience I would have at the clinic, I was ready to be hopeful for the first time in my life. Dr. Hoffman worked on my case as though he was swooping in to save my life. Dr. Hoffman is a brilliant health detective, researcher, educator and hero to the world of complex chronic illness. Dr. Hoffman tests and does not aim blindly for success, which helped me to understand the root causative factors for my symptom profile and target treatment accordingly and with precision. This expense is nothing compared to the expense of potentially losing my quality of life at age 25. At face value, Dr. Hoffman has an astonishing mind but is also compassionate and honest. You can’t learn the art of caring in a textbook- Dr. Hoffman’s bedside manner is impeccable. Behind the scenes, I know that Dr. Hoffman does more for his patients than most others; I saw him leave the office with my file at night on many occasions and knew I was in the right hands. One year later and ¼ of the last 12 months spent in Calgary and my cells are now completely regenerated. I am well on my way to the quality of life that I (and we all) deserve. 26 years old and now ready to change the world with all that I have learned, I am forever grateful for the care I received at The Hoffman Centre- the space where my health was transformed. Each person at the centre played a significant role in my recovery, including the reception staff, nurses, nutritionist, Neurofeedback practitioners and more.
