List of Jeffrey Weisman's Reviews
This review is regarding the front desk and billing office. I was referred to the doctor for an echocardiogram. I was only going to get it if my insurance covered it. The person at the office I spoke to assured me that they "ran it through" my insurance and that I would only pay my co-pay and that's it. Then they later sent me a large bill for the remainder of my deductible. I originally said I would check with my insurance but they insisted it wasn't necessary. Now I'm stuck with a large bill.
This review is regarding the front desk and billing office, not the doctor himself. I was referred to the doctor for an echocardiogram (which I didn't really need; it was just a make-sure thing from one day that my heartbeat was going fast). I was only going to get it if my insurance covered it.The person at the office I spoke to assured me that they "ran it through" my insurance and that I would only pay my co-pay and that's it. Then they later sent me a large bill for the remainder of my deductible. When I called them about it, I told them how I asked if I should check with my insurance company and that they assured me they ran it through and checked with them. But they said they would never say that and always tell people to check with their insurance regarding a deductible. Unfortunately, they acted like they checked this information for me originally. I initially told them I wasn't going to get it done if it would cost me. And now I'm stuck with a bill for something that wasn't even really necessary for me to get.Update to my review: my insurance company confirmed that the woman in Dr. Weisman's office who called it in, Karen E., only called it in as an office visit and made no mention of the echocardiogram thus causing me to get billed without knowing I would be. So don't talk to Karen in hopes that she might inform you of the cost because she will screw it up.
Took care of all my concerns

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
