I was n still am a patient of Dr.John Hoffman The people that will see Dr.Hoffman are the luckiest people in this world...Dr.Hoffman is a miracle man!!!!! Even though he doesn't think he is.my name is Marlene Shields I went to him for breast cancer in 1990s DR Hoffman we LOVE you n your bedside manner and all the Hope's and dreams you gave me.!!! KEEP You chin up I know how it affects you when things don't go as planned. We all need you Love you Marlene shields the one who had to run away all the time.

I consulted Dr. Hoffman over 13 years ago, after discovering I had numerous pancreatic cysts. Since my mother died of pancreatic cancer, I was terrified. Dr. Hoffman took charge of my case, followed me with tests every six months (often despite my complaints) and literally saved my life when he ordered an endoscopic ultrasound recently because he "felt it was needed." He was correct, and I had surgery at Fox Chase, with Dr. Hoffman attending, to remove pre-cancerous cells. Dr. Hoffman is attentive, concerned, and takes time to treat the whole person, helping me with unrelated medical issues on many occasions. I feel privileged to be one of Dr. Hoffman's patients. You could not find a more brilliant and caring physician/surgeon.

My hero is Dr. John Hoffman, whose experience, caring, and compassion made my operation to remove pancreatic cancer successful. My whipple procedure was on August 31st this year; it lasted for 7 hours, and it was a success! There was no evidence of cancer in the pathologist's report afterwards, and I could not be more thankful that Dr. Hoffman was my surgeon.

I recently had cancer surgery of my bile duct area by Dr. John P. Hoffman at Fox Chase Cancer Center. He explained to me and my family each and every step of the operation. I consider myself to Blessed to have had such an excellent doctor as my surgeon.

His communication with me was poor his medical terminology was very hard to understand his assistant's never returned my calls and they gave me the wrong information on my prognosis.

HIS MEDICAL/SURGICAL CREDENTIALS ARE TOP NOTCH, BUT I FELT LIKE JUST ANOTHER PATIENT. THE OFFICE TOOK ALMOST TWO WEEKS OF DAILY PHONE CALLS TO RETURN A PHONE CALL AND GIVE ME TEST RESULTS. I FELT UNIMPORTANT TO HIM AS A PATIENT WHEN HE FINALLY GAVE ME THE TEST RESULTS. I THINK THERE WAS A HUGE LACK OF COMMUNICATION AND FOR THIS REASON I CHOSE ANOTHER SURGEON FOR MY CARE.

I felt that I was just another patient. I think it took too long calling the office every day to get a return phone call from the doctor. I chose to use someone else because I felt a lack of communication from the office. His surgical credentials are top notch, but I feel that he didnt adequately explain his decisions or treatment options in a way that I could understand.

I have been seeing Dr. Hoffman for years. He is my saving grace. He is compassionate, brilliant and skilled. He always listens and is willing to go the extra mile when questioned.
