Staff is non responsive-doesn’t return calls. He sees patients for initial consult and then is impossible to get ahold of for follow up care. If you see him for a follow up appointment and discuss these problems with him, he is quick to anger. It’s terribly unfortunate, because his expertise is valued but his practice is suboptimal. Perhaps being near retirement, he has given up on patient-centered care.

Great doctor

Dr Melvin is caring and I definitely trust his expertise. He was very interactive with my 9 month old son and explained his plan of action to help discover the issue. Once I arrived at the office I only waited for 5 minutes in the exam room before he came in.

My son has a brain disorder that requires neurology follow-ups so we have seen approx. 5 or 6 neurologists since birth. We kept looking for one who wasn't pushy about getting another unnecessary (and VERY stressful) MRI, was very thorough and seemed to actually care about my son's well-being.I'm so happy that we found Dr. Melvin because he not only meets our requirements but exceeds them. We've needed paperwork for my son to get services at school, get scheduled for a dev. ped, etc and have had it completed so quickly.
