Dr Heller is great the staff is another issue I've been waiting 2 monyhsxgir a pre cert only to find out it was never sent in. I was pul on hold for 20 mins then disconnected. Office manager never returned calls had other workers do it and they could not answer any of my questions over all I think one dtsr is a gift I would look around if they ars this bad at the little things I can't imagine how difficult this staff would make it for you while recovering. The manager Amanda is unavailable and does not call back. The worker today confirmed my pre cert was never sent in two months ago Snd was only just sent in today. Stay away from the navy yard office just horrible.

No one else I would let touch me...the best of the best...bar none.

On 6/13/21 I had a rather serious biking accident and was taken to a local ER in Lancaster, PA. The accident broke apart my previous fusion at T7/T8; I also had two broken ribs and a partially collapsed lung. When the extent of my injuries became apparent I asked to be transferred to Jefferson where I had had two previous spine surgeries. Dr. Heller performed a lengthy surgery on me on June 15th where he inserted many rods and screws to hold my back together. I cannot praise Dr. Heller enough. He is an excellent surgeon but even more than that he cares so much about each of his patients. He treats each patient with dignity, takes the time to explain, he listens and answers questions. Tomorrow it will be three months since I had the accident. I am getting used to my "new" back. I am making steady progress and am nearly back to my pre-accident self. With the seriousness of my injuries I never thought I would recover this well. Thank you, Dr. Heller for giving me my life back!

I went to Dr. Heller with numbness in my legs and feet, I could not walk without assistance. He has been very honest about what to expect from surgery and recovery. I am several months out and can walk after physical therapy. Dr Heller is a very patient, caring and knowledgeable surgeon.

I was referred to Dr. Heller for a second opinion after my local orthopod was unable to alleviate my chronic lower back pain. After several visits, it was determined that I would be best served by an SI joint fusion and a revision of a past L3-4-5 fusion. I had the two surgeries and the pain was relieved immediately post-surgery. The care immediately after surgery along with the follow-up has been phenomenal. I am now almost six months post-op and back to full activity and pain-free. Thank you, Dr. Heller!

Had spine surgery for problems with my legs now I’ve lost full mobility use of my hands and my back has become much more stiffer than before im afraid to see him again he doesn’t give me any reasonable explanation of why my body is having these complications

First few words - JUST GO SEE DR. HELLER - an EXPERT! Dr. Heller makes you feel comfortable immediately! He is professional, friendly and does not rush you and listens! Then he begins to point out your issues, as he sees them. You will most likely need to get the necessary MRIs or X-rays. He is very careful and exact with his course of treatment. For me, after going thru years of excruciating pain, pills and injections via other knowledgeable doctors, it was Dr. Heller who finally performed a major spinal fusion. Like a Miracle - I am pain-free in the area he performed the spinal fusion!!! Thanks and God Bless Dr. Heller, Karyn and staff for always being there for me!
