List of Lacy Sommer's Reviews
She needs help understanding what the "white gaze" is. And then, stop using it.
Dr Sommer discovered my rare skin cancer-cutaneous lymphoma. She is excellent and compassionate to her patients.
She is a competent and compassionate doctor. Easy to talk to and does not rush.
Dr Sommer was able to diagnose a condition that nine other physicians could not. I am so grateful to her. She has amazing knowledge about treating my illness. She is vey kind, patient, and has wonderful bedside manner. I will always be grateful to her.
She is absolutely the best dermatologist I have ever been to. She is thorough, patient, compassionate, and takes the time to explain things to you. She has made several procedures virtually pain-free for me. She gives great advice and good recommendations for skin care products and practices. I have recommended her to everyone who needs a good dermatologist.
Not recommended. You can get better information from a website, and her personality is quite lacking.
No bedside manner. If you want to pay for medical advice recited from Dr. Google then she is for you.
Dr. Sommer is great!
I would not recommend Dr. Sommer to anyone. She has no bedside manners, no patience, and no friendliness to her. I felt like I was just asking questions and she'd answer in the least amount of words possible. She made me feel like an item on her list that she wanted to check off so that she can move on to her next patient. Even if it means waiting six months to see another doctor in the office, I would tell you to stay far away from her and not get fooled into scheduling an appointment with her just because she has the most availability. She knows her stuff when it comes to medicine but she also knows how to make her patients feel worthless, so it depends where your priorities are. She also just passed her boards in the summer (2015) so she doesn't exactly have experience.
Smart, thorough, and pleasant.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
