List of Main Line Fertility - Philadelphia's Reviews
Main Line Fertility is a wonderful place! Everyone is super attentive and really personable. Highly recommend. Wonderful care and compassionate.
I had a wonderful experience at MLF. I love all the staff in the Philly office. Dr Gocial is a wonderful physician!
Thank you for making me a mom, Dr. Gocial. I am forever grateful for you and your amazing team.
Dr. Gocial is a brilliant and caring doctor and a true leader in the field of fertility. I actually moved cross country from SF to be in his care! I feel very fortunate to have experienced such a high level of care with Dr. Gocial and his team. Thank you Sara, Barb, Karen, and Stephanie for providing exceptional service and attention.
I can't say enough good things about Dr. Bloom! I would not hesitate to book a consultation or procedure with her! She practices evidence-based medicine and thoughtfully explains her reasoning to patients. She has a great bedside manner and is adept at procedures (which have been challenging for anatomical reasons for other physicians).
Infertility is an experience that can be really lonely, frustrating, difficult, and hard to manage. Main Line Fertility goes above and beyond in making you feel comfortable, supported, and understood. From care that is personalized to your specific needs, to the incredible staff who always takes the time to answer your questions, I was beyond impressed with Main Line Fertility - and am so grateful I chose them as my partners in this journey.
The nurses at the center city location were wonderful, so kind and welcoming!
Being cared for by Dr.Bloom was such a positive experience! Coming to MLF can seem intimidating, but with Dr. Bloom's guidance and caring nature, you feel like she is truly invested in your journey. I highly recommend not only Dr. Bloom, but truly the entire staff at the MLF Philly office as they were all welcoming and friendly throughout my entire experience.
Dr. Gocial, Barb, Stephanie and the rest of the staff are amazing and were wonderful to interact with. If you have been trying for a while, using ovulation strips and/or generally stressing trying to get pregnant I would recommend scheduling a visit. The team put my mind at ease (and took a lot of pressure off of my husband and I) after we had been TTC for a while.
Main Line Fertility is the epitome of what's wrong with the health care system. They use outdated technology (don't even have an EHR / computer system), have long wait times, are unable to explain costs which were repeatedly wrong and double billed, and their outcomes are poor. My wife was a patient of Main Line Fertility for approximately 6 months and here are some examples of the frustrations we experienced:1) It was clear the clinical staff, including the doctor, had no clue why we had an appointment. The appointment normally started asking us, "so what are you here for today?". This is something I would expect the doctor / clinical staff to know and help guide us through the process. There were a couple times where we even identified after advising the clinical team they were doing the wrong procedure/blood drar/ultrasound during the visit2) For one of our appointments the office lost my wife's chart. The practice ended up figuring out later the chart was at a different location. I also noticed during a visit a doctor was plugging in and removing a thumb drive to the ultrasound machine which has to be some sort of a HIPAA violation. We also had a doctor ask us to carry our chart to the front desk and drop it off for them after our visit was finished because they were running behind schedule3) The wait time averaged at least 30 minutes when we had an appointment. It is clear they double book (if not more) all their patients to arrive at the office around the same time and expect them to wait4) Inconsistent clinical methodology - the office is setup where you will see multiple doctors, particularly on the weekend. This is totally understandable, however we had doctors directly contradict each other and even insult the other doctors within the practice by making statements like, "we each have our own clinical approached and methods and I would not be taking the approach that doctor taking". I do understand each doctor has their own style, however saying we are taking the wrong approach with one of the other doctors made us lose confidence in the practice in general and just feel like a practice should employ doctors that have a shared mindset for practicing medicine5) At our last visit we asked to pay our balance in full, and paid the amount requested which was over $1K. We were told this was our final bill and continue to receive bills in the mail. When asked for the details for the bill the office did not follow up with the request to send us this information including the line item detail. We simply wanted to know what we were paying for. 6) After losing confidence and not having success we decided to try another practice called Shady Grove Fertility. This was a night and day difference all around, and we ended up getting pregnant. In summary, we were duped by Main Line Fertility. The best thing this practice has going is it's practice name which makes you think it's going to be a high end practice which couldn't be further from the truth. Save yourself time, money, heart ache, frustration and go somewhere else!

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
