List of Marc A. Lavine's Reviews
Had multiple surgical procedures with Dr. Lavine for kidney stones. Excellent care with him, and at outpatient facility. Trust him implacably.
Dr Lavine has the best bed side manner of any Doc. I've known. Takes the time to explain in detail what exactly is going on. And his game plan. I've been a patient for close to 10 years. Major issues with kidney stones. He knows his stuff. Highly recommend him.
I’m very satisfied with this doctor I think he is the best
Absolutely NOT
The review is long. But that’s my first review ever, and i only wrote it because we all rely on other people experience’s when looking for a doctor. And our experience at this office got me outraged. My husband was a patient of Dr. Levine for several years due to an enlarged prostate issue. Nothing drastic - regular visits once in 6 months. But then he underwent a non-related to the problem surgery and sustained a complication: urinary retention. At they hospital, they put a catheter in, and advised to see his urologist. Which he did. At the office they took catheter off, it dud not work. Put it back in, another appointment next week, again nothing. When it became clear that taking the catheter off does not work - my husband still could not urinate,- doctor told him that he needs to undergo bladder test, to make sure that his bladder is functioning. By that time my husband was with catheter already for 3 weeks. So no work, no normal life - everything is put on hold. But......not only during all these visits nobody even bothered to check his prostate, but the first available date for the bladder test was.....June 2nd (three weeks away from the appointment day!!) Because the girl who conducts this test only does it 2 times per week. So my husband was supposed to be THREE MORE WEEKS WITH CATHETER (in addition to 3 weeks he was wearing it already). I’ve asked for an earlier date, but they looked me as if i was an idiot asking for a miracle, and said NO, that’s the first available date. Like it is their patients problem that they only perform this test 2 times per week. Well, i was outraged. The same day i found another urologist in the area (Dr. Yamomoto - he is AMAZING). He checked my husbands prostate right away, said it was enlarged. Conducted test to confirm it. Explained possible “ways of action”, we have chosen a urinary lift, my husband underwent the procedure 2 weeks ago AND by june 2nd (the day of the bladder test) was back to his normal life. So turned out my husband did not even need that test, his problem was due to drastically enlarged because of the surgery prostate, and NOT the bladder. So all this wait of additional 3 weeks with catheter would be for NOTHING. Another words, if you have some minor problems - i guess this office is okay. But....if you have a problem that needs urgent attention and CARE - you are better off going somewhere else. For your own sake. I mean... When we go to the doctors, we expect a reasonable level of caring for our health problems and willingness to help, that’s the point, right? Irina
Great doc
A great and doc
Dr. Lavine is a tremendous surgeon with skill, experience, knowledge and common sense all rolled in one. He was attentive after surgery, came every day, listening to my questions or concerns. Follow up care has been constant. The office staff is great, especially Lisa who fielded a million questions from me. Would highly recommend Dr. Lavine.
Dr Lavine is a very caring & excellent doctor. My husband had kidney stones 11 years ago. Someone recommended Dr Lavine & we were happy that we decided to go to Dr Lavine. July, 2019, my husband again has kidney stones. He had the kidney stone blasted today, everything went well. Dr Lavine is not only an excellent urologist but also very personable & easy to ask questions & speak to.
He listens to you and is very good at seeing the problem. Can't think of any that would make him a better doctor than he already is, love him!

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
