List of Matthew Dougherty's Reviews
Dr. Doughtery is the best. We are from out of town and were told by local doctors that nothing could be done for my father. We made the decision to travel to Philadelphia to consult with Dr. Dougherty and it was the best decision we could have made. Dr. Dougherty is knowledgeable, personable, efficient and spoke to us in plain terms that were understandable. We were a bit anxious going out of town and leaving our comfort zone but in leaving we received excellent care and hope for my father.
After years of being in pain he listened and sent me to a neuro surgeon and the surgeon found a cyst in my spine. A lot of doctors and hospitals do not pay attention anymore and assume you are a drug seeker when in fact some of us just want relief and to find out what is going on. He took the time and listened. I would of ended up in a wheelchair or worse as my spinal condition was rare and other surgeons did not see it in the MRI's and said it was a small disc herniation. Dr. Dougherty although thought it may be something else sent me to a surgeon that further evaluated me properly and is working on getting the problems fixed.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
