An amazing surgeon. Even after surgery I must have called a few dozen times with questions or concerns and he answered each one and made time. He listened to my story and set up the plan to best treat me. 10/10 could not recommend enough. I thank God for him, he changed my life and I can finally go back to normal.
Today I had a surgical appointment with Dr.Phillips and had such a horrible experience. After 3 visits about the same problem he finally scheduled me for a surgery. Once I woke from the procedure, the doctor let me know that he wasn’t able to perform the operation due to complications with the anesthesia. He never specified what exactly happened to me while I was asleep. There was also a large blood stain from where I had been bleeding but I didn’t understand why I was bleeding if I was not operated on. The nurse that was helping him post operation was very rude to me and also racially profiled me. She disrespected me in so many ways when she should have been comforting me. This happened in front of a security guard and another doctor that was present at the time. She made the experience 10 times worst. I’ve never felt so helpless. The nurses then moved me to a different station but I constantly asked for someone to at-least tell me what happened and what I could do next. Dr.Phillips came out once again and told me he couldn’t perform the surgery and tried to prescribe me Lidocaine after I’ve told him on 4 different occasions that irritates the situation more. I asked him for the name of the nurse that was rude to me and he refused and walked away. I then had to walk to the front desk and ask a different nurse for help. She did help me identify the post op nurse who’s name is “Diana Kissenger”. After this another nurse walked me outside the building and left me to wait alone for my ride. I eventually just walked away in frustration. This experience overall has seriously declined my quality of life.
Don't call someone sweetie right after you, a resident, and a medical student all look at their anus together. Then you called me sweetie as you left. I am not your sweetie; that was disgusting. I am a grown adult human being. A person. I deserve the same amount of respect as you or anyone else does. The only redeeming quality about my visit with you was the medical student in the room. She stayed back after Dr. Philp and the male resident left and asked me if there was anything else I had questions about or things they should know. I told her I am not cis-gendered and use different pronouns than the ones that were being used for me. She wholeheartedly accepted and assured me she'll make sure I feel respected during my care. She is going to be an amazing doctor. Philp, You don't know who's been through what; I am an adult, I am not your "sweetie", and don't you think that's highly inappropriate of you given the part of my body you all looked at together?
The office is non-responsive. They do not return phone calls. Appointments are very hard to get. Then, they change the location of the appointment at the last minute, with little notification. So, is the doctor any good? We really don't know, we have been trying to get to see him for more than a year. We have asked our Primary to find a different doctor for us, but they keep pushing us on to this worthless group.
My experience was terrible. He attempted to have me get three surgeries for the same problem. When I asked him why I required three surgeries for one polyp he became arrogant and nasty. He never gave me a reason why he needed to perform three surgeries on the same polyp. Instead all I got was sarcasm. I will not use Philp again.
Has the bedside manner of a sour grape. I had the displeasure of having Philp perform surgery on my colon two times for the same problem. He told me he wanted to see me a third time. When I asked why I required three surgeries for the same problem he became arrogant and sarcastic. He wouldn't give me a straight answer. I would not recommend this clown to anyone.
I had the displeasure of have Philp perform 2 surgeries on my colon. When he said I needed a third I politely asked him why I need a third surgery for the same problem. He became arrogant and would not give me a direct answer. I wouldn't use his services if he offered them for free.
I required the services of a colon surgeon and Philp was recommended to me. He performed back to back surgery on me for the same problem. When he said I needed a third surgery he developed an arrogant attitude when I asked why. He couldn't tell me why I needed a third surgery for the same polyp and had an insulting demeanor. In the end he refused to give me an adequate answer to my question. The only thing I received was sarcasm. I will never let this man perform surgery on me again.
He explained everything for my problem.
Dr. Philip is low on my approval list. 1st he is extremely rough, being gentle or walking the patient through what he is about to do is not a quality he possesses. Zero bedside manner. When expressing the pain that I had he didn’t seem to care much and only offered a cream after significant pushing from my end. He also has patients undress while he the nurse and students stand and watch ! The solution he offered was not good as another doc had already advised me it was not an option.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
