Dr. Downey was amazing. Absolute best doctor I've ever seen! He took over my complicated foot case and got me walking again. Please see him for any foot problem, so he can help you too!

My original foot doctor went down with Covid so I tried Dr Downey who was very reassuring and informative. The first doc had said if I did require surgery it would be difficult but Dr Downey said - Nope it would be simple.I think I would trust him.Also Mary at the front desk is warm and welcoming and the tall P A guy is humorous and listens attentively. My poor tootsie has found a home.

This doctor goes above and beyond great bedside manner his nures are awesome very clean waiting rooms I have no complaints at all Dr Downey goes the extra mile when it comes to your health I would recommend him to anyone

My local podiatrist recommended Dr. Downey to do my surgery. Not an everyday thing for my guy, so he said that Dr. Downey was the best for what I needed. I made the appointment last year and have had success. This past June, I had my second foot taken care of. While I'm still in a cast for that one, I feel confident that I will have success again. Dr. Downey is thorough, caring, concerned about how I was feeling and made it his business to make me feel comfortable in my decision(s) to have my feet taken care of by his very experienced hands along with his very capable resident staff. His "behind the door" office staff is just as attentive and also listen to what you are feeling and are trained under Dr. Downey, so I have complete faith that all the residents going through his watchful eye will be almost as good as Dr. Downey one day. Thank you Dr. Downey for giving me my feet back and allowing me to walk again.

I highly recommend this foot doctor. He is very thorough and figures out the most complex problems and complications. He's the doctor's doctor! He will formulate a long-term plan to fix any foot and ankle problem. I cannot say enough good things about him!

Dr. Downey came recommended by my local podiatrist, I was hesitant at first because it’s a two hour drive but....... Dr. Downey is simply put amazing. Have had two surgeries in the last 2 months and every single step of the way has been easy and fluid. Dr Downey takes the time to explain exactly what is going on, takes the time to answer any and all questions you may have and overall had me as a patient feeling totally comfortable and at ease! Penn is a teaching hospital and every resident or student I had exemplified all the great character traits and total professionalism as Doctor Downey himself! I simply cannot say enough great things about my experience with Dr Downey, His AMAZING Residents, the workers in front and the UPenn health systems as a whole!!! Thank you so much!!! I know for a FACT that if I ever need anything else, I will be driving the two hours to Philadelphia NO DOUBT ABOUT IT!!!!!

Dr Downey was a consummate professional, seeking every option for healing me. He recommended that I NOT have surgery as my healing progressed, an unusual and welcome recommendation. I am now fully healed under his care. Recommend highly.

The absolute best! Dr. Downey takes the time to "listen." His patients always come first! Incredible surgeon. Had both achilles repaired by Dr. Downey! I could not even walk without major pain. Dr. Downey is very direct, tells you what needs to be done, is very competent in doing what needs to be done. Just some advise - do EXACTLY what he tells you. I'm very impatient and want instant results - if you listen and do as told, you will heal properly. Believe me, he knows best!
